I've emailed the owner of our Cryptojunkie pool, and messaged him on here. Hopefully he can get that pool online again shortly!

Appreciate the patience.

No big deal, right now everyone is mining Razor anyway.  Wink

Just to avoid any FUD, I confirm that I was able to withdraw all my GRE I had in CryptoJunkie. So it's probably just a technical glitch, not a scam.

Yes the Majority of people have Rented a Large amount of rigs to Mine RZR, that coin is gonna get Pumped & Dumped hard, no Average Merchant will want to use Anonymous Transactions and not be able to know who sent them etc & my 2nd point, the average user doesn't know how to even use The Onion Router (TOR)... Even the Announcement is lacking Details, Current & Future Commitments/Promises.

Guys I believe my pool is just about settled down enough to start letting people mine it. I'm going to give it around 6 more hours but we'll see. I had to do some stupid DNS stuff and the changes were taking FOREVER to get across Charter/Optimum/ColorVision's servers. I'll post details later in this thread, and we'll go from there, but I'm looking at expanding the current pool list (Its just GRE now Wink ) but I'm not 100% sure what I need to do, hahaha.

Sorry guys, the CryptoJunkie pool is back up. My stratum server shut down.

Make sure you always have failover pools set up, that way if a pool you are mining at goes down, your miners switch automatically to the failover pool.

Hey everyone!

Been working a custom payout script that can be put into both our website and for helping manual payouts for the time being.

Please note:
I update the manual payouts done every night on this OP - if for any reason I forget, fall asleep (I've been working long days and have had trouble staying awake) or am unable to update the OP, keep in mind that all payouts are noted at:

www.grcoin.com/news

Thanks!

Just a heads up, as I've edited the OP with regards to Producer Payments.

Moving on, TXID's won't be displayed - since we are on an autopayout, this would require manual lookups for each transaction. Writing a script to help get that information for us. Thanks!

Hello All!

I want to announce that http://weminealtcoins.net/ and http://weminealtcoins.com is officially open for Greencoin mining!

The pool will run a 0.25% fee that will go towards an eventual block finder event! Also it will help offset the cost of the servers as well.

You will need a valid email to register and it will ask you for your GRE address on register as well. It might be a little touchy about new addresses, not 100% sure why.

I just watched the season finale of Year of Living Dangerously (Showtime) and Thomas Freidman (NYTimes) interviewed Obama and this was the take-home message:

1) Climate change is the biggest problem of our time and real Leadership will understand and embrace this concept as fact.
2) We need a way to price carbon emissions, and
3) Hopefully the public steps out in front of government addressing necessary action on the issue (sounds like he thinks gov gridlock means there's not much he can do so the public (people and businesses) needs to take charge initially)

I would like to think GreenCoin is the answer to points #2 and 3 and the GreenCoin Foundation is addressing point #1: Leadership.

I always wanted to get solar panels for my house, but unfortunately I live where there is a lot of trees.  I appreciate Greencoin considering the environment, and I really do hope GRE succeeds.  Not only does it have a great objective, but it also has wonderful developers that work hard to maintain the coin.

GreenCoin is happy to welcome Chris L. of Oxford, UK to the list of producers - his first official payout was last night at 11:45 PM EDT, and we are so thankful that he's joined us to help soften the worlds' Carbon footprint.

We look forward to seeing GreenCoin move around the world!

Saw someone else post this interesting article on another thread...........http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-27987827

I found this quote from the article to be shocking "There is enough sunlight that falls on the Earth every hour to generate enough electricity for the planet for a year"......that's fricken nuts!

It has been a long battle trying to get solar adopted by the masses........hopefully cryptos like GRE will make a huge impact to these efforts!!

A community user got back to me about the Android wallet.

He will get back with me in a week, and we should have it shortly after that. Also, it seems like all of the website updates should be done about midway through July, and the QT is still being done (thanks to our friends at UEGroup).

Lots of progress!
