I downloaded the new PoSA Wallet and edited my cloakcoin.conf

Code:
server=1
listen=1
rpcuser=xxx
rpcpassword=xxx
rpcport=29661
addnode=cloak.blockexplorer.cc
addnode=54.193.113.180
addnode=91.224.149.33
addnode=71.226.228.172
addnode=95.85.62.56
addnode=208.84.132.253

connect=107.191.34.156
connect=173.60.106.117
connect=99.153.243.11

connect=71.180.246.164
connect=37.48.65.72
connect=106.186.20.153

At first the wallet connected very well, but I had only anon acconection and not network connections? Coins were not minting due to no network connections? Is that right?

I restarted the wallet and now it does not connect at all?

The linux binary cloakcoind is not available for systems with GLIBC_2.13. How to install 2.14 without haveing to change the whole system?

I've been a long time lurker and

Congratulates on recovering from 0.00125 to almost 0.0019 at the time of this post - last 13 hours
Somebody must be pulling the line here.

I have read and looked at damn near everything Cloak "has to offer" and maybe I am a complete idiot - but

I just don't see it...

If somebody here can actually draw me a picture - I'd be more then happy to reconsider my current view

Is it true the that the unknown DEV's have not responded for days?
I just realized this......

let me know...

Mangled Blue stop stirring the pot , . If you not sure about a coin then first of all you should do some research before investing money into it.
Second have you been skipping all the posts in this thread? There has been tons of clear information posted by the dev explaining most of the questions asked.
Third DEV's are always in IRC answering question since day 1, there is a cloak forum with over a thousands users. I wonder how could you missed all of that? The developers are always here 24/7.
Ill give you my opinion Cloak is heading to become the next biggest generation of altcoin.

PoSA v1 : Proof of Stake Anonymity

Welcome to the ground floor of a breakthrough anonymous system. In this version we sever the link when sending from person A to person B and therefore there is no solid proof that B received from A. You'll notice in the wallet that there is an extra icon near the minting icon that lights up green when other PoSA nodes are detected. Sometimes a few minutes is needed to find other PoSA broadcasting wallets.

It took no less than 33 builds to get it to this stage, but we're not leaving it there.

Part of the cloak team is already working on a PoSA v2, in which we introduce our "Block Escrow System".

Block Escrow (interestingly an integral part of OneMarket) was drafted in to PoSA to protect senders and receivers from so called "bad actors". What that means is, there is a known risk of a phase 1 node or phase 2 node being a bit naughty and attempting to interrupt the flow of a tx, for self gains or not. It is unlikely that happens but; in our quest for true trustless anon, as laid out on the day we first introduced PoSA we are not ignoring any chances of a "bad actor" disrupting PoSA flow and that concern is now being ruled out entirely.

What we have shown with PoSA v1 is real anonymity and when block escrow is built in, it'll make PoSA the strongest anon system to date (as far as we can tell).

Not only will block escrow make PoSA 100% trustless, we'll be able to provide users with more control over anon sends, to raise or lower the amount of nodes and splits etc but also to remove certain fees that will make a PoSA tx blend into the blockchain even further.

The hard work is completed for PoSA with increased PoSA node stability, various node broadcast checkpoints in place and loads of other tweaks over previous versions in order to get PoSA flow working correctly.

So to recap: In PoSA v1 you now have a working anon right here to play with and test, Cloak team will deliver PoSA v2 in the very near future along with continuous developments of OneMarket and other projects.

Extra command for .conf (optional):

posa=0 Turn posa off, default is on.

Anyone having trouble loading up an old wallet.dat on 1.9.7.33 is advised to make a new one and send some coins over to it.

To send PoSA there is a an Anonymize PoSA check box, after sending once it will stay checked. For normal tx it's recommended to deselect this as using PoSA incurs greater fees for the sender.

Windows 1.9.7.33

https://mega.co.nz/#!FdFBwCDT!l98LjYaVzEABWohecbaL906GUf-HyVWYzgW_Vi7x408

Linux 1.9.7.33

https://mega.co.nz/#!xNVm0bxA!uQ69298Cz48cd81SIiqSuaEvwEH28W09hjYv8hoty3o

OSX / Mac 1.9.7.33

https://mega.co.nz/#!VY1EwaJL!Bnu8oKm5z4Hb4KCQAde_YeWFjDxJ44L-RbodaVmrHeI

The time is approaching when we have to introduce a new tx fee structure for Cloak. As the price of 1 cloak rises the fees are getting more expensive. We'll time the lowering of fees (in which a fork will be needed), with the launch of PoSA v2.

PoSA has been a closed source build, to protect it from cloning but when PoSA v2 launches expect a full audit from cryptographer/s or code analyst/s with the aim of adding an extra level of "trust and authenticity" in our work.

Guys.. it's gonna take a few days for people to start to really understand that PoSA works.. Just enjoy the weekend and see what's to come.

damn son. You doing people dirty. You may call this bashing but I call it how I see it.

This 'club' is the oldest scam in the book - Let me explain how it works.

You all give 1 Bitcoin per month to Bob. He then pools all your Bitcoin together and uses half your money to firstly buy a nice stack of coins for himself in an alt market of his choosing. The other half of your money goes towards placing a big Buy wall just above where he purchased his last coins with your money.

At this stage he has very quietly placed all the coins he just bought with your money in little bundles up the sell order book. The last of his bundles is set at price 'Y'.  He then puts the word out to everyone "Guys, pump is on X - Target Y+10% GO!" - All of you will then introduce MORE money and buy up all the coins he has just purchased with your own bitcoin.

You will then be reliant on each other to buy up your coins as Bob has already made his money - All he has to do is remove his buywall and you are all fucked. Not only have you given him 1 Bitcoin but you have now bought a bunch of coins far higher than they would be going for 'but for' Bob's buy wall made up of your own bitcoin.

Now, Bob is smart, he won't just remove his buywall - but roughly a quarter of you will buy too late, you will think "Ah damn, only just got the message - well price is Y-10% and target is Y so I guess I can still make 5-10%!"

Problem! Everyone has already started selling you their coins as when the target is Y the majority of people will always start selling somewhere between Y-20% and Y-10% - depending on their 'greed levels'. Either way you just got burned.

Now he has conveniently placed the disclaimer 'If you follow my guidelines' in his post - It enables him to say "Oh gee man I'm sorry to hear that! But I did do what I said I would didn't I? You were just a bit slow! Better luck next month!" - Those who have fallen for this scam will probably just say "Meh you're right, thanks so much Bob!" and get back to thinking they are part of a special club.

If you cannot see this scam for what it is then I feel sorry for you, because even if you make a bit of money from this, Bob is risking your funds - not his - to both buy and pump up a coin. He doesn't have to risk a single Satoshi of his own stash for this scam to work - but you give him not just 1 Bitcoin as a 'joining fee' but MORE bitcoin in the form of buying his coins above the buy wall he puts up with the rest of your money. He get's ya twice.

Bob I respected you and your substantial portfolio - but this is pretty damn disappointing.

If it wasn't for bob the price wouldn't be where its at. Bottom line. You all love bob, you just don't know it. You kids are passionately naive.

That being said, cheers on POSa getting released. I hope a bunch of you bought between 120k and 180k like I suggested and was ridiculed for just a few days ago. I even gave you guys the the exact time window along with price points. Very excited about whats going on. Does anyone have any idea what the secret project for cloak might be? I have suspicions that it involves communication. That would make Cloak a very well rounded coin and I might even make it my main horse (against the advice of my betters to never go full retard). What rumors have you guys heard?

https://i.imgur.com/fH1wLOs.pngSo what you're saying is that through manipulation the price of cloak has been made. Since bob manipulated the pricing to make BTC off week holders, we should love him since we profited and they didn't. Correct?

Admit what? I know how this game is played. You can either hate bob and be poor and follow bobs advice and make money. I'll leave saving the world to you guys.

Edit: You're right R2. I'll keep all the personal shit out of here and focus just on Cloak from now on. Sorry about that.

This is no scam, what am I going to do with the so far 3 btc I have earned in membership fees. That's gonna have to be a super small buy support wall eh. Even if I rake in 20 btc... How would that help me with a pump? You know on two occasions I've called prior to purchasing cloak, once for 50 btc and once for 25 btc. The guys I work with are playing with hundreds and some even thousands of btc. I'm doing this as a way to make others money while making some extra coin on the side. And sure, if I ever get to 100 members and I'm taking in 100 btc a month you can be sure that 'll be using some of that btc for the monthly pick, its only natural.

Also, I should note, people get greedy, I;m sure even my member's will at some point. It may pay off or they may lose out. This is out of my control. I can set guidelines all day but if you dont follow them you deserve what you get, even if that means you lose out.

You also seem to forget the power of movement. Coins move and others who are not privy to the membership pick will also be hoping on board with no knowledge of what the set entry's and exits are. There are so many variables, if you want you're more then welcome to join the club and see for yourself how you'll make money with me.

Anyway, if the members play it smart they'll come out ahead every month!

P.s. Can we please stop talking about me now?

Thanks.

HoldTheLine WAY off topic, deal with the user via pm. This thread has all been positive, people do not come here to read long post which are not related to a cloak development. Everyone enjoying constructive posts. This has nothing to do with Cloak.
If you a issue with a bct user deal with them personally, show some maturity mate Smiley Edit your post and keep it clean. And enjoy the cloak ride.

Excuse me? I will speak my mind when and where I want. That message was primarily for the innocent members that will no doubt be thinking about 'buying in' to this club. You're a smart fella R2, you know what he's up to here. A lot of people will see his numerous advertisements posted in this thread and potentially be hooked into parting with their money.

I don't wish to have a private chat with anyone here. I want nothing other than for people to aware of the way this scam works.

It's one thing to make money off people buying too high and selling too low in a market situation - that's just business. It's another to actively scam individuals who probably don't have an overflowing stack of Bitcoin to be playing with.

Spare it brother, I know how it works - I was scammed by just a 'club' back in Janurary when I was still a Crytpo newbie - only after the bloke took my money he had the decency to explain to me how it works so I wouldn't fall for it again. Hated him but it was a damn fine learning experience.

Remove your advertisements from this thread and I will remove my post. Otherwise all our posts stay and shall be judged by the members accordingly. I don't care if people buy into your club, it has happened and will no doubt continue to happen - I care about the poor fella is on the fence right now and still has a chance of keeping his money.

If you really wanted to help people make money you would not ask for 1 Bitcoin - you would simply get everyone together, collude and come to an understanding of what coin you were going to pump, when, to what point, who would sell first (based on contribution as proved by screenshots of order history or balance) and then you would calmly execute the plan. That has just as much chance of making folk money as your current club idea has - except this doesn't cost them anything and therefore doesn't make you anything.

That is my final word on the matter - let the members see your posts and mine and make a call on their own merits.

Stop stirring the pot?

I come to ask serious questions and you get all defense?
REALLY?
Not a good sign.

And what's up with this?

PoSA v1 : Proof of Stake Anonymity

on like EVERY page again and again and again??
You guys think people cannot read it the first 10 times???
The hell man?

You need to inflate the number of pages you have by re-posting this SO MANY TIMES?

I have read the "fact"

That "story-board" with all boxes and lines
For a minute there I thought I was blond
and then
I realized - It's not suppose to make sense.

I'll keep lurking - - WOW!!!

Sorry about that. Some of the kids here have no real social skills. Don't let that reflect on your opinion on this coin. Most of them have no say in the development of this coin and probably don't even understand it. Feel free to PM me any questions you might have and I'll do my best to find you the information.

The Windows Wallet works like a charm. Good connection to the network and 9 connection to anons. I'm impressed.

edit: I had to install "openssl"-package and Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 or 2010 before...

HoldTheLine Added on ignore, keep up with your conspiracy theories and don't forgot to take your medication this morning Smiley

You sir are a disgrace to this community and to yourself. Apparently no one else gives a damn about the advertising done for Bob's club and the members of this community who will likely buy into it.

TheDagger - Come and either delete all the posts (mine included) that mention this club or put a disclaimer up about it and prevent the members from being hoodwinked.
