Guys if you struggle with dropped connection/low peers when upgrading to new wallet then stop the cloak wallet, delete peers.dat and restart.

Can someone please help me trouble shoot, I am running OSX Yosemite and initially tried just installing the new PoSA qt to no avail so I took Dagger's advice and backed up my .dat and deleted everything in app support folder etc..deleted the predessor itself and re-downloaded the new qt and it won't even begin to open...whenever I try and install and then click-to-run for the first time it immediately shuts down and prompts me with "The Application Cloakcoin-Qt" can't be opened"

Please..help..troubleshoot..frustrated..

I seem to recall an issue on Macs where downloading the wallet with Safari caused issues (i.e. damaged).  Try Chrome.  I guess Macs don't like Mega.

What is an 'evolution'?

It's how many times you've been used as a node in anonymous transactions.  If you're used as a node, you receive a fee for processing that transaction.

If you go to the console, you can type listaccounts and it'll now say _posa as an account.  If you've been used as a node, you should show a balance here.

you can also find the _posa balance by enabling coin control and looking at your inputs

Time to sell and buy back cheaper.. We may be heading back under 001 - i followed bob's advice last night and bought but unfortunately he was wrong.. Not sure people would take advice from people like him. I should have read the charts as it looks like we are in a significant downtrend. Such is life.
