"Why not just use bitcoin?"

My personal opinion is the transaction times on bitcoin are too slow for things like e-betting. If I see a match starting in 5 minutes, my BTC isn't going to make it in time.

That's a fair point and very true. I guess the only reason I actually USE alternate coins to to send them between exchanges. Just so I don't have to wait the hour+ to receive them. I guess that's why Fastcoin had its moment in the sun a year ago =p

Stupid question i think
We don't need so many alt coin but we must need more than bitcoin , if you think altcoin is only for exchange then you know nothing about digital currency

Hello, my name is Calin, I’m a Minerals supporter from Romania. Nice to meet you all!

After investing a couple of BTC in Minerals over the last week I started reading your posts and for the most part enjoyed the community’s strong sense of support for the coin. For that reason I decided to give my input with a modest donation to the Crayon tournament and also give you a compliment sandwich in the form of a Pros and Cons List.  I have to specify that I am not a fanatical supporter of this coin, nor am I trying to spread uncertainty in this project. The ideas I am about to put forth are solely my personal beliefs and should not be regarded as anything other than that.

The things I like about this coin:

-It has a cool name. By chance I am a hobbyist gem collector since I was a kid and have a few gems at home so the instant I have read the name of this coin I was sold. Hasty decision making you might say. Well, I’m of a different opinion and you will find out why.

-You can make bets with it on e-games. Wow, what a great idea. As my gaming days are over since time doesn’t allow me to play anymore, I was very interested in watching others play with me being interested.

-It has full time developers working on it. Very few other coins have and this means that the level of dedication for this project is close to remarkable.

-It does not rely on the market for its success. Although the holders can be considered as stock holders, in the event of a price fall no factories will be closed and hopefully no one will lose his job. Of course, excepting the guy complaining here as how he lost everything, his house, his job, his wife. In my opinion that guy was just another fudder disguised as a beggar. Don’t mean to insult anyone but as I have said these are my personal thoughts.

-It has got a great community on this forum. Just look at other altcoins on how many pages have been written. At one point we have had the same number of posts as to Vericoin, although this coin is about one month younger. A great community is like a Union, or a Band of Brothers that go to war and can rely on each other. This means not selling cheaper than 10K  Not even if your wife had left you for a black… coin holder.

-It has a great and responsive PR and although it would have been a much friendlier experience if we called him Larry instead of MineralsPR, you cannot deny he does his job well and answers questions as fast and best he can with the finest of manners.

-It has a lot of growing potential. The world of e-games is increasing year by year as more people spend their time in front of the computers and real life sporting events become more and more corrupt. Considering the betting industry on the latter is worth several hundred billions of dollars every year, it is safe to consider the e-games betting industry will be worth at least several hundred millions in the near future (3-5 years)

-It is crypto, baby! What this means is… Well, you all know what this means! I have just to say that some consider crypto as to be a grand big ponzy scheme, mostly people that do not understand the concept and are afraid of changes. I bet it’s the same people bashing and trashing people and their beliefs on this forum, the uneducated fool that was unfortunately present everywhere in history when there was a great discovery that could not be muted or reversed. Let’s be honest, the world is constantly changing and only an ignorant fool can claim he can stop it. Crypto brought that change and although it is not the singularity that was predicted by scientists it surely shook the world with a whirlwind and it constantly does. I know that deep inside you all feel the change but that’s enough about that as I said I am not a delusional fanatic. Or am I?

The things I don’t like about this coin:

-I don’t know the developer/s name/s. When investing in something I am expected to at least hear a name, to see a face, to imagine that those guys are my friends. When working with Batman, people tend to lose faith, although the guy delivers all the time. I am not sure why is this secrecy hovering around the crypto world. Must have something to do with it’s name, right? Crypto-hidden? Well, maybe not, maybe it has something to do with their developers, young and talented individual that have spent most of their time in front of computers and don’t consider themselves eye-candy or lack social skills to talk in front of a room full of people. Either way, I would very much to meet the developer/s and the MineralsPR as I think by comparison Vericoin is now holding 20X stronger just because they had the balls to show their faces and put their names on a project. Hell, I don’t care if it’s a 12 years old boy with obviously a bigger brain than mine, I would bow to that man, just show me some faces. Worst case scenario hire an actor if you have to, this coin needs a spokesperson that has a name and a face.

-It does not have a Marketing team and very poor social media coverage. When I say poor I mean it needs constant posting on facebook (most of the world is on it and I have not seen a page for Minerals yet), reddit, twitter. I would suggest looking into some professional help, if the guys agree to be paid in Minerals, maybe we can raise some donations and I am sure they will take this to the next level and triple the coverage within a matter of days. This is my business facebook page, I do not post it for any commercial purposes, just saying professional help brought me from 300 likes to 12.000 in a month.
https://www.facebook.com/MogulEyewear
And they were cheap. For about 200 $ I made an animated commercial with this guy’s company, which is a close friend:
http://intermotional.com/

-It has only a bunch of strong believers, therefore a small team. Although I have said earlier that it has a great community I see people panicking as my father does when he gets an adware on his computer popping up on the tray telling his computer is broken and he needs to piss on CD-ROM to fix it. He did that twice and then got angry that his computer was not working. People, Rome wasn’t built in a day, nor in two days, nor in two months. It took years of hard work and intelligent people supporting the cause and that’s what made it great. When we truly work together towards the same goal without constantly looking over the shoulder to see what the others are doing, trembling in fear that tomorrow might be the last day before the Great Flood, then we can call ourselves a team, a Band of Brothers. This being said, I know the Great Flood will separate the believer from the day trader and that those that stood by will be rewarded greatly as no whale can swallow something as big as us or tear something as strong as us.

And this is all I don’t like about Minerals. In the following lines I will tell you about my betting experience from yesterday:

Went online, checked morningminerals.com (thank you Hoshimaru for this simple and yet very informative site, a small donation will come your way by the time I post this article), then checked the forum to see if anything happened. More moaning and thrashers. The good guys must be on the betting page I said to myself so got into bet.minerals.pro. There I have found two stream online, RootMinigun and WinterStarcraft. Wow, I can finally see how this works, I immediately placed bets on both of the streams but no one was joining. After the first game it seemed the system was laggy, but then someone else placed a bet as well on both of them. Nice… About 15 minutes later RootMinigun had finished its game but no payout was made and soon realized he was not playing with the profile that was linked to the Minerals betting system. The Minerals were stuck for about an hour and a half and then returned to my wallet. On the other hand, StarcraftWinter won and within minutes my wallet was burping happily, I had just won my first bet. I had continued in placing bets for a good part of the night, eagerly anticipating the next win or loss, sometimes playing with this guy just for the sake of the bet, meaning I would bet against him although I had a hunch Winter would win. All I can say right now is it was a great experience that I want to repeat as soon as you get more streams online and more gamblers interested, maybe also add new betting functions to spice up things. After winning I have donated a few of bucks via Paypal to WinterStarcraft and he has a message option, meaning you can leave him a message that he will read in the breaks between his games. My message was something like “Thank you, you are a great player, this is your cut from my Minerals betting service” After he read the message, this displayed on the top of his stream for hours and considering by the time I have made the donation there were around 2500 people watching his stream, I think it was a very good investment in Minerals. Maybe you can do the same.

Thumbs up! Support all the way!

Mr belibeli this is a great post. But for the facebook part going from 300 likes to 12000 im sorry to tell you those are bough likes or else you would see hundreds of likes on your posts. There are sites which sell those likes and i think this is what you have been dealing with but yes it is true that mineral needs some real marketing help to get the word to the outside world.

I think the tournament which will be organised will be a very good marketing hit for the coin all it will lack right now is a real trusted USD-CAN or what ever currency market for min to facilitate a constant buy of the coin.

Betting on esports with crypto's and steam items has never been easier.

Keep the donations coming all Smiley 15000 in the pot + 15000 from the devs. Thats 0.5 BTC at TODAYS rate. I was watching a local Aussie Starcraft Tourny earlier today and they were going bananas over a $1000 prize pool. We halved that already with no sponsors, nothing!
Money talks, this tournament can be popular and will certainly attract big names with more money on the line

1500 donated. The community needs to realize that part of the path to success is acceptance by the gaming community that it is intended for. Achieve this and things will work out. Donations for tourneys are a great way to get some exposure. Glad to see several members helping out and hope this continues to grow.

Thank you for your kind comments Mr DailyModo, although I care not to comment further about the nature of the facebook likes, as I think it would be a waste of time arguing on this forum, I can tell you for a fact those were not bought likes in the sense I bought 12.000 facebook likes, but more in the term of networking as these guys have put forward tens, maybe hundreds of facebook profiles, each with their unique followers, each with another audience targeted, where they posted my ads. I had not paid for the likes, more paid for the postings on their network.
