I know you guys love to see an updates, so here we are:
Minerals Dev priorities for next week:
1. 1-click betting. We are willing to implement magnet-like links, so players can click on the wallet address to paste it into wallet;
2. We will be removing useless betting features from wallet;
3. We will make Stream on live.minerals.pro resizable;
4. Not sure about that but at least we will try to plug in twitch.tv chat to the tournament betting page;
5. Bacon.
Dont forget that most of the above will require wallet update.
Looking forward to these improvements
I haven't seen it yet in any wallet, but would it be feasible to add a "Totals" row and a more advanced filter to the "Transactions" That shows some useful information? I think it might be useful for those having more than one address and a well-filled betting address book.
I was thinking about you select a specific address and can see all in&out transaction. The totals row would then show you a summary of the "total balance" for all transactions in the filter and sums all in & outs + maybe an average & such. Also selecting multiple addresses or kinds of transaction would be really awesome. No single wallet has this kind of functionality and I never understood why, as crypto currency is what it says it is: currency. And nice extra would also be the amount of coins 'minted' in the selected filter and an eventual forecast of what you can get if left untouched over periods of 7 days, a month, a trimester, a year?
And about number five ...
Do you mean
or did I miss something somewhere?
Update: Also... when compiling the wallet on Linux, you've to run a two extra commands before make -f Makefile.unix in order to build mineralsd and minerals-qt, otherwise it fails.
In src/leveldb:
chmod +x build_detect_platform
TARGET_PLATFORM=OS_LINUX make libleveldb.a libmemenv.a
Also, when compiling minerals-qt:
src/qt/bitcoingui.cpp: In constructor ‘BitcoinGUI::BitcoinGUI(QWidget*)’:
src/qt/bitcoingui.cpp:141:58: error: ‘QStringLiteral’ was not declared in this scope
frameMain->setObjectName(QStringLiteral("frameMain"));
I had to dive in bitcoingui.cpp and replace
frameMain->setObjectName(QStringLiteral("frameMain"));
by
frameMain->setObjectName(QString("frameMain"));
Would it be possible for the dev to look into these small things? The leveldb part can be automated as with many coins nowadays.
The QT wallet's is something else. I think it depends on the compiler version and/or QT4 or QT5 being used?
And finally:
RCC: Error in 'src/qt/bitcoin.qrc': Cannot find file 'res/images/splash.png'
make: *** [qrc_bitcoin.cpp] Error 1
This file is located in the right directory, but is called
Splash.png and as you know, Linux(-based) OS'es are case sensitive. Just rename it to splash.png in lowercase
Update 2:
And there we go:
Will there be betting features for the non-Windows wallets in the future?
