There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Holy S***
another hype pumpdump fancy coin uh?
we wrote good things regarding fractal...but now we realize you are all the same....(scappati de casa) plain english? (homeless finding a way to steal some money from others)
Nice job devs btw...really.
/disgusted by crypto scammers once more
i have to agree i expected alot from this coin and dev team but they seem content with the low price and no innovation. with 100s of coins and new ones each day you have to do something to make your coin stand out.

What would you suggest?

The reason I like this coin so much is that it isn't another anon, meme, or x11-15 clone.
Innovation isn't about copying all the other nonsense features floating around, it's about forging a new path in which others will follow.
Fractal's 'slingshield' and percentage-based-fees do exactly that.

And if you look at all the other coins that really made it big, litecoin, namecoin, ppc, doge, quark, drk, they were all the first of their kind.
They were ignored initially because nobody bothered to investigate their features and then all of a sudden the market caught on and they took off.

As far as the devs, Fractal is not much more than a month old and already v1.2 is being worked on.

If you have ideas to contribute that you think would be of benefit then by all means contribute, we're happy to hear them Smiley

You can thank OriginalChilli for the dump today.  Bastard sent out an email to his group (160 members) saying that he was "closing" all current projects, FRAC being one of his "projects".  Project meaning he was expecting the price to go up so he told the team to buy, now he's butt hurt about his LOCK coin failing so he told everyone to dump every coin he previously told them to buy. What a fucking dick.

And he got it, FRAC has just break 8k now and falling.

Innovation and invention scores big time bucks. Copying is for the small time f*cks

Such blatant plagiarism in other Cryptos is the equivalent of selling crappy knock-off sunglasses. Designed and built to last only minutes and for a tiny, measly profit that the seller gloats about anyway, having no idea about the true success of what they are copying from their insignificant bubble

As others have mentioned Fractal v1.2 in the pipeline, strides ahead of others that have already died and have also contributed to correcting Bitcoin flaws

The price has been manipulated lower anyway... the only three 'sells' @ 8k were for less than 2 FRAC and a bot was working yesterday to draw things lower even before the dump. So I bought more during the sale

Good luck to ForgetCoin and any other 'Roy Bon' replicas

Release info is found here, not sure about the date, I assume it's when the devs feel that it's ready.

https://github.com/fractalcoin/fractalcoin/blob/master/releasenotes.txt

But the point is really that the devs are actively working on the coin, not they they're going to add another game-changing feature every month.

Most people haven't even heard about Fractal's primary innovations yet.

We've been posting in here regularly as normal, last post was two days ago and now this one.

Last two posts:

It looks like a big miner joined in and then left, taking difficulty from 50 to 300 in a matter of  around 13 blocks. So, we're currently at block 43587 and have been there for around 40 minutes. The network still appears fine, and I do not doubt that this is only because of a huge hashrate climb and then drop off. Digishield/Slingshield will handle this and we'll be back to normal in probably around 3 or so blocks after this first one gets minted.

PROTIP: When we encounter a slow block like this, transactions start piling up, meaning transaction fees for miners start piling up for this block. The next block looks like it'll be around 10-20 FRAC worth of fees if I'm reading the `getblocktemplate` result correct.

I've made the changes to the website. Will have dogetime update the ANN shortly.

This needs to be updated with Cryptsy & Poloniex support, also this is a really cool thing to have it should be mentioned in the OP!

Agreed! I've added it to the website and will have dogetime add this to the ANN as well.

Cheers!

Devs have been around, check the github, come chat in the IRC.

I don't think the fact that somebody decided to pump the coin is really of that much interest anyway.

Pumps happen from time to time but I figure they make little difference in the end.

It's the fundamental features of a coin that you want to look at, not the price fluctuations caused by trading.

IMO anyway Smiley

Hahaha as per previous posts today - more than alive and dev busting guts - earlz / skunkmonkey / Fractalcoin are all FractalCoin devs

Join the #fractalcoin IRC to see for yourself Smiley

Definitely no scam, unlike most others at the moment. After someone orchestrated a dump yesterday the price is frickin awesome

I'm holding onto my 14k tightly and reaping more thanks

Careful folks, there seems to be a concentrated effort to drive the price of this coin down. Look at the shills posting about how this coin is dead and the devs don't post anymore TWO POSTS BELOW A DEV POST!  They aren't even reading the thread, just posting their canned FUD messages.

Do NOT fall for the FUD folks!

For those of you wanting to see value on the coin, that has to come from the users of the coin. At best we can artificially pump the price with some fancy market-speak, but that is a hollow increase and will just fall back down. We are not Pump & Dumpers! We aren't going to hurt the reputation of our work by milking it with market manipulation. For a coin to truly gain and hold value, people have to use it. Ask your favorite merchant that already accepts alt coins to also accept FRAC. The pressure has to come from the community. We are prepared to work with any merchant that wants to accept FRAC, just have them contact us.

Cheers!
