Ethereum has in many ways opened the door for Crypti
Decentralized apps are the future
These Foindation guys gonna let the fruits of their labour rot on the branch?

Already this thread has sprung to life with discussion after much quiet...

Carpe Diem and keep talking

Much like Hearn did, so has Max provoked the right conversation for the future of this project
Dapps means devs means community

I predict the next 30 days will paint this projects destiny.

I'm not sure as to the future. But I think a new community manager is needed.. Someone to provide updates to investors and so on

Yes, communication is critical, and keeping up with it in all the channels amounts to some work. We will be on it, but attending to transition and reassignment of responsibilities is also a priority.

The new Community Manager will likely be Matthew.  He writes with flowing diction and completely comprehends what the devs are doing.  On the other hand, he is very busy keeping bad guys out of the Air Force networks.

dunno how many channels you have but at this time you should focus on 3:
Bitcointalk. Twitter. Reddit.

Facebook can be discarded and your own forums will have to wait until the community is more substantial in number.

With respect the messaging and PR has been poor until now.
I dont think most people in crypto have even heard of Crypti ("did you mean Cryptsy?") or know that it is a player in the dapp world and offers a different solution to Ethereum and already has developed API's etc etc

There are presumably instances where running a dapp on a sidechain is advantageous over Ethereum's approach. IF there are then these should be highlighted immediately.

So, WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF USING CRYPTI OVER ETHEREUM?

EDIT: And now its on twitter,

Thanks for the suggestions.

Max did a very nice chart highlighting the differences between Crypti and Ethereum.

Some advantages are:

1. Crypti full nodes run on ARM devices with 512 Mb RAM - this may become much smaller -> IoT ready
2. Back end is written in node.js, Dapps front end may use most of javascript library, CSS, HTML
3. running dapps on side chains allows scalability by not having every contract run on every node in network.
4. DPoS minimizes cost of securing the network
5. integrated storage with Sia

I am still trying to wrap my head around all of this.  I need answers to questions.

1. The current versions of Crypti that have been released are 0.5.2 for the Crypti wallet client and 0.5.4 for Delegates, right?  0.5.2 is a "light" version that only allows transactions and 0.5.4 creates new blocks, right?

2. There is a 0.5.5 version under test that has not yet been released to the public, right?  Is this a client wallet version for making transactions or a Delegate version that writes to the blockchain?

3. What are the main new features that will go online with 0.5.5?

4. What is the target release date for Crypti 0.5.5?

5. When will Crypti 0.5.5 source code be released via Github?

6. Did Max / Olivier have access to Crypti 0.5.5 code to use it for the basis of a fork?  Or will their fork be based on Crypti 0.5.2 / 0.5.4?

Okay, well if things don't work out Matthew. I may be interested.. If it's not too much work.

It is disappointing to read the last 2-3 pages. Max and Olivier did good work for Crypti.

I've been with Crypti since IPO and stayed loyal since(running a delegate as well) but after the recent changes I'm beginning to doubt the Foundation's working and Crypti's future in general.

There are approx. 30 delegate nodes not forging at the moment, what measures are being taken to remedy the problem?

Crypti needs to secure the network as soon as possible.

I personally think 101 delegates are too much, untill XCR gets bigger.

Can the number of Delegates be lowered? How does it affect the network? Is this something you could decrease and/or increase with ease?

So, we opened latest sources, include crypti-js, crypti, and frontend repository.

I made some contribution docs, i will still work on it.

I was little angry last days, but now i'm ok and what i can say.
Here is nothing wrong if Max or Olivier are making their own fork.  (Problem is their PR via our channels).

At least, last time i didn't have a lot of time to work on Crypti, because maybe they will make some more progress.

All published repositories in our github: https://github.com/crypti

I hope, community will take care of it too.

I understand, but it is time to move on. It is a very important time for Crypti right now. Not tomorrow, not one week or a month from now. Right now. I believe Crypti needs to sort everything out, and fast. For example, just looking at the original announcement it looks like a mess, the images are not there. Tried the blockchain explorer that is listed (http://live.crypti.me/) and it is not working. Olivier's fork of the blockchain, Cryptichain.me, was taken down.

There are a ton of damages currently affecting Crypti. Right now it's about that time where damage control unit comes out and fixes all of these things.
