A First Look at our New Website

Hello Community,

This week I want to show you our new website which we are working on since a few weeks. We initiated the redesign of Crypti.me to further develop our corporate identity and create a more uniform look for Crypti. This way developers and users will feel themselves more comfortable at any Crypti page they visit.

Continue reading on our blog to see more screenshots!

This feature will come once the dapps and sidechains are here. We will implement avatars and messages in the sidechain to keep the mainchain as small as possible.

I just restarted my Delegate Node (Carib.04.2015, Vote for me ^^) and noticed that loading the blockchain took awhile. Is there a way to load faster? This could become a potential issue as the blockchain data size grows.

We will look into this after the dapps are here. This is the problem of cryptocurrencies in general, our advantage is that only 101 delegates need to do it. All the other users don't.

A delegate is always online, so that should be fine. Someone who wants to be a delegate has time to sync before he gets into the top 101.

I will ask Olivier if we can do a regular snapshot of the blockchain and put it up for download at our blockchain explorer. Smiley

I've been reading up on MaidSafe, they are building something similar to what Crypti is doing (Dapps) named SAFE Network. The SAFE network would be a platform for apps and programs that could be accesses by the network users. In their system docs paper they state:

Quote
Here are some examples of the type of apps that can be used on the SAFE Network.
  • Cloud storage
  • Encrypted messaging
  • Web sites
  • VoIP
  • Social networks
  • Distributed databases
  • Document or contract signing
  • Any existing service that runs on the Internet

It's become a race to whoever gets there first, gets all the fame. There's also Ethereum with their millions of dollars who are planning the same thing.

that just proof one thing
we are heading the right direction.

we dont have millions of dollars from ipo.but we got a Prospective team.and already working on this for one year.
i dont think it's a race to get somewhere first.but i did consider that we can Develop new markets with others together.
remember, there has Operating system call Windows, but we also have Linux.
there has smart phone call IPhone, but there also have Sumsung Galaxy.
Crypti can not take dapps market without Competition, but we do have a prospective team, and what we can do is to lead the direction of this market.just like APPLE do.
the others(eth or maidsafe) join this direction should not make us Nervous, but just make us more strong, and more Staunch.

Right. Smiley

Ethereum is not a really competitor for me. Thanks to it people now know what dapps are. Though I think they mainly want to build trustless smart contracts and not dapps? The last state of their client was horrendous, so I think they are more for the hard core base, who then will build easy-to-use apps on top of it.

Maidsafe, never heard about their applications yet. Asked our engineer Mike to review it. Let's see what they are building. Smiley

In a conclusion I think everyone is doing it a bit different. In 2 years we will know what decisions were the right ones. But remember, there is always a market for 2 or 3 platforms.

It's not like a social network on which everyone is only on the biggest one. You can compare Crypti/Ethereum/Maidsafe(..) more like coding languages with different needs/specifications. Or like smartphone companies with different user interfaces and applications. Smiley

It's definitely a race, but

Encrypted Messaging
Web sites & search engine
Social Networking
Contracts through AT

have already been done in QORA!

This was not meant as a promotion..even though it may sounded like it is. I posted just to clarify things and to share latest information. My post was relevant to the list of the SAFE network apps posted above.

I also like Crypti and there is room for many cryptocurrencies in this world.
