Agree with you. That is why my suggestion was not about putting a 500 btc cap but rather finding the sensible line where the IPO gets dangerously diluted for the investors and somehow prevent that.
This sounds more like a business than a currency. I don't think Crypti is the coin for me. |

What to expect from them when the coins is released? What happens if a very hard bug heats them... will they go like "hell, fuck this, its too much work for nothing, and we already have all the money..." I know a lot of people invest only to get out fast on 2x profit, but what will happen with the bagholders placing trust in the coin? they will be burned for sure, almost 100% from what I can see until now... Few names in the OP and a java wallet that can be developed in few nights is not enough for 250.000$ Anyway...I'm out |

The team needs to address the problems surrounding the max cap as quickly as possible in my opinion. If not implementing it then just make a statement addressing it. But really in my personal opinion unless a max cap for the IPO is invoked a lot of investors will leave, in fact investors are already leaving, a buy order was put up on BTER so that people could sell their CRSale and in less than an hour over 15 BTC/15 CRSale has been sold. You need to be as transparent as possible. If you needed 500 BTC to complete development within the aforementioned time-frame then set a cap for 500 BTC. |

I would challenge anyone who wants to try, build our client and network in 2 nights. If you manage to do so, I've got a job opening for you! :-) As for our changing opinions? We have adjusted 1 or 2 values slightly based on community feedback prior to the start of the Pre-Sale. We have changed nothing since the actual pre-sale started. We are considering instituting a max cap on investments only because a large majority of the community feels strongly about it. Would you rather we ignore all of the comments and your opinions? When you reference bag holders being stuck, well the entire development team won't receive our Crypti for a long time. We are getting fractional portions quarterly over the next year, so in essence, if that is the case, we will be the final bag holders. As per your initial F bomb laced comment, we never said we need 250, 500, or 1000 BTC. We initially said we could forecast probable investments of 23-143 BTC based on previous similar launches. The community started throwing around numbers like 2000 BTC. We never anticipated making 2000 BTC on this launch. We still don't. The 500 BTC probably came from a comment I made in the first 10 pages of the thread or so. We were having a discussion about caps and I said "If this were a kickstarter, our actual goal would be 250 BTC (that's a really strong mark for us) and 500 BTC is more like the last stretch goal. I would be overly joyed if we managed to even hit the 250 BTC amount.". The 250 BTC would allow us to get out the minimum and already discussed features. The 500 BTC mark would allow us to reach most of the internal goals we have and get them to market by my estimation. But why shouldn't we strive for better? We created our internal goals based on our internal discussion on what we thought was possible for funding. Additional funding makes our team stronger and allows us to hire new developers, meet our goals faster, and gives us extra to support community projects and new ideas that spring up after we have several months of active network under our belts. Who knows what we will think up 6 months from now and I would rather have additional funding and a buffer for when those great ideas pop up. That being said, we understand that investors don't want over dilution so we are attempting to find a balance to put as a cap just in case the investments take off and exceed our expectations. We already put in place the declining 10% to help investors if we reach the 500 BTC mark. We are now, due to overwhelming responses, considering placing a cap for investor confidence and assurance that we won't over dilute. We just need to get the numbers right and make sure that it's going to meet the intended purpose. |
