The 500 BTC probably came from a comment I made in the first 10 pages of the thread or so. We were having a discussion about caps and I said "If this were a kickstarter, our actual goal would be 250 BTC (that's a really strong mark for us) and 500 BTC is more like the last stretch goal. I would be overly joyed if we managed to even hit the 250 BTC amount.".
The 250 BTC would allow us to get out the minimum and already discussed features. The 500 BTC mark would allow us to reach most of the internal goals we have and get them to market by my estimation. But why shouldn't we strive for better? We created our internal goals based on our internal discussion on what we thought was possible for funding. Additional funding makes our team stronger and allows us to hire new developers, meet our goals faster, and gives us extra to support community projects and new ideas that spring up after we have several months of active network under our belts. Who knows what we will think up 6 months from now and I would rather have additional funding and a buffer for when those great ideas pop up.
That being said, we understand that investors don't want over dilution so we are attempting to find a balance to put as a cap just in case the investments take off and exceed our expectations.
We already put in place the declining 10% to help investors if we reach the 500 BTC mark. We are now, due to overwhelming responses, considering placing a cap for investor confidence and assurance that we won't over dilute. We just need to get the numbers right and make sure that it's going to meet the intended purpose.
In my opinion you guys have handled the situation pretty well, some people may have mistook your openness to community opinions as indecision. As investors we'd all like to see Crypti succeed, but we have to protect our investments as well, I've said before that in my opinion 750 BTC would be the maximum cap, anything higher than this would take away a vast amount of profitability for investors.

The DEV is too greedy. 25% were kept by themselves, it's sick. If they want to get their own share, why don't invest some btc to the ipo. We all know NXT and qora's dev don't keep any coins freely.
Why don't they invest BTC? Because they don't have to - idiots will pump money into this either way and goofballs will be trading it on the exchange. By taking 25% for themselves right off the top (which makes zero sense - they already make a killing as-is) they just milk even more cash out of this thing when they dump. Whether they kept 25% or 0% wouldn't matter - anybody that will invest in this thing isn't smart enough to care. They might as well keep 50%. Also, you know the NXT people/etc bought their own shares but what is the difference? At least Crypti is being honest about cheating the system instead of doing it under the table. Megaman I missed your shit....where is your friend Litoshi? done trolling? seems like you're second guessing.... regarding the 25%~ premine, we discussed it over and over again...this is the model the Dev's chose after sharing their thoughts with us, if that sounds too risky for you its totally understandable, just lay back and consider joining in after the pre-sale. Cap wise... there is no need to exceed 750 BTC! we went over and approved the budget when 500 btc were estimated, so 750 should be enough and more, you guys have yet to disappoint me and I'm sure you wont start now... ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) To be honest, at 1000 Btc and more I'll seriously consider to withdraw my investment and wait to a lower entrance point as it just not worth the risk... I am still here..... lurking. This coin scheme is like watching an egg fall. Cant wait for the splat!!

Well right now we are leveling out for the time being around 225-250 BTC it looks like, so only time will tell if a cap would even be an issue. These numbers are in line with the market analysis and what we discussed internally as probable interest and fund raising amounts and I am really happy with where we are at, being only 2 days in.
All I can say is we are very appreciative to the people who helped us reach the current mark and look forward to proving our worth and making Crypti a top contender in the Crypto space.
The new Ledger showing amounts invested and amount to be received should be available today (as Crypti mentioned). This will help everyone better manage interest and what their shares will be at current amounts.
The team is also hard at work on the beta wallet and internal node network for testers.

Investements wave is over. Devs, name the cap before it's obvious that you won't be able to gather more than 500 btc anyway. Safe your face.
Total BTC Invested:2,130.398 Development fund: 0% Percentage Bonus: 29% it was already 2130 BTC. http://crypti.me:11050/ WOW are you serious!? they already collected, two thousand an one hundred and thirty Bitcoins? will there be an official update on how many btc already is collected? You don't really need it. You can look at your self on BTER: https://bter.com/trade/CRSALE_BTC 251 BTC Maximint: https://blockchain.info/address/1u2FuXyp9BSVKaNA1FidqzTvRsYiGVkn8 2 BTC

If you are going to set a cap, SET IT NOW. I agree with other and think 750-1000 is a good cap.

For those wondering, this is a very early rough pre rough draft of the Foundation Charter. This hasn't been vetted by all of the team members and is currently in the first draft stage which I am writing. I would love to hear thoughts and feedback on what portions you like, don't like, etc. I have a lot more to add and it's a definite work in progress, but we wanted to start engaging the community now and allow you guys to comment and help steer the charter. The ghost blog I setup to post revisions and whatnot has comments allowed to feel free to comment and post your thoughts on what I have so far! Thanks! http://grexx.ghost.io/the-crypti-foundation-charter/
