what means pump/dump? just newbie please answer

Basically, someone takes some BTC, and starts buying the price up. People see the green on the exchange and start buying also, which keeps the price green and others notice and buy too. This quickly "pumps" the price up. Then those same people start dumping the coin and taking profits on the fake bubble they created.

i guess you have to be whale to do that

Dev please consider paying 1BTC to get coin onto Bittrex... need more volume on this coin..

Please don't.  Bittrex is shitcoin and pump and dump haven.  Not to mention that Bittrex removes coins constantly that don't have "enough" volume.  Between Bter, Cryptsy and Poli, this coin is perfectly fine in terms of exchanges. Only other one that could be good would maybe be Mintpal.

yeah I don't see the reason for Bittrex either. I'd like Mintpal and HITBTC if anything, we attract a more serious crowd..

Bittrex are all about PnDs, adding shady ICOs and most of all - cater to pumpers. And these people don't have the volume they talk up either. And if they buy XCR, they want to sell it 2 hours later. I don't see why these people are potential "investors" or will actually contribute to the community other than be toxic if the price isn't right for them.

I find myself liking BTER much more nowadays. That being said, more exchanges certainly don't hurt if anybody wants to trade there they should be able to! Thnx

Definitely HitBTC, the problem is though that they take eons to add coins to their exchange.

I have a problem trying to open the web wallet. I enter my passphrase and click on the login button but nothing happens. The button moves as though I have activated it yet nothing happens. Anyone have a possible explanation for this?

They seem to be very picky as well.  There are a number of older coins I'm surprised aren't on there and they've only just added NXT.

I have just tried to enable forging on my node after letting it sync up-to-date. Upon starting crypti the CPU rises to 90-100% and starts eating of my memory until I am forced to reboot the server.

I am using crypti version: 0.1.5, nodejs version: v0.10.31 on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS. Host: Digital Ocean.

Watching the log file, there was a shit-ton of activity.

Not sure what is happening. I am a nodejs newbie.

When forging is disabled crypti node works fine.

Make sure to use 1GB droplets, 512MB won't do.

Any chance you use an older IE browser? We found some issues with them, so try with Chrome or Firefox.

@Devs

These are some essentials we need first before starting marketing of any kind. Please read through them and let me know if any are being currently developed, and the timeline for them

Some essentials we need first before starting marketing of any kind :

- Increased Documentation
- Whitepaper Revision (More technical details and exported to PDF)
- More Information on the Website
- A Working Block Explorer
- One-click install clients for Windows
- Desktop client that runs in a dedicated window instead of through the browser like : http://nxtra.org/nxt-wallet/
- Contacts in the Crypti client
- One click forging (i.e. setting forging password etc.)

Essentially we need to make Crypti more accessible to those that are less technically inclined.

SyRenity if you have the time could you take a look at the above post Smiley

The same thing happened to me when I tried to login with a new account I created yesterday while the blockchain was forked. I'm assuming all accounts that were created on the wrong fork have been removed.

My answers below:

Increased Documentation - we have a community member that recently joined us helping with that.
By the way, we are interviewing more people at the moment - everyone who believes he can contribute in making Crypti the leading eCommerce crypto, is welcome to PM GreXX.

Whitepaper Revision (More technical details and exported to PDF) - now that we launched, this would be among our near-term goals.

More Information on the Website - we going to do a full re-branding bringing the site (and the UI) to a modern design.

A Working Block Explorer - our near term.

One-click install clients for Windows - our near term.

Desktop client that runs in a dedicated window instead of through the browser like : http://nxtra.org/nxt-wallet/ - we thought about doing Node-style desktop version (based on Chromium or Webkit), however due to everyone having browser on their computer, we decided not to pursue this at the moment, but rather focus on actual core values (custom blockchains among the first). If this becomes popular demand we might review it again, or post a bounty for doing it.

Contacts in the Crypti client - actually something that we discussing among ourselves for some time, we'll review it when redoing UX with rebaranding

One click forging (i.e. setting forging password etc.) - a very near term task.

Can you try with a very simple passphrase, like 123?

Also, do you have any ad blocker?

Just one last question. You say you are going to do a full rebranding of the site and the UI to a modern design, but why, the site and the wallet UI looks superb for the most part. It's not that the UI you guys currently have is old in fact it's the opposite, the wallet UI and the website design was the reason I invested in the first place. I would know as I'm a designer myself.

All I ask is please don't change your design style and give your designer a bonus because he's doing one hell of a good job.

Thanks, that certainly a pleasant thing to hear Smiley.

To be more exact, we are looking to bring Crypti assets to the level of the leading payment systems, such as:
https://stripe.com/
https://www.braintreepayments.com/

And so on.

Have you taken a look at Breach (http://breach.cc). It's a hackable browser developed in Node.JS. The beauty of Breach is that you can modify every single aspect of it.

You could modify it to only load the Cryti web wallet and just remove the search bar, bookmarks etc. and you could use it as a one click install for Crypti, it would be much quicker than creating native one click installers for each platform

So essentially what you have is a "locked down" browser thinly disguised as a one click install
