Whatever happened to our silver coins? I'm an original stakeholder, dumped my stake at launch. Haven't kept up with the thread until then. Did the silver coins go out yet?

Noting done yet. The topic comes up every now and then with the last suggestion being give everyone who claims a trezor or ledger wallet pre-loaded with the silvercoins stake divided by the number of stakeholders. Im not sure if any Dev responded to this yet

I fully agree with you. Whenever someone mentions marketing you get answered with "we don't need any hype". Nem is hardly used by any business, so how do you expect it to be valuable in the long term. No matter how good the tech is, if there is no marketing and no one can use it in their daily life it will become useless. It looks like nem was just a hobby project or a test project for the Nem team. they are too busy creating some other stuff for real businesses like Mijjn and Catapult. And we just hope that some of the success will flow into Nem. Just pathetic. They have a Nem marketing fund which they do not use and they do not update us about their plans with regard to Nem itself. No idea why people are so excited with those side projects, currently Catapult that is supposed to come out in August. I doubt we will see any positive effect that causes shops and businesses to implement NEM
It sounds like you're trying to run down the price to scoop up some more. Can you keep doing that, because I put in a super lowball buy order and it would be kind of cool if it filled... To the one who said they invested family savings in NEM, very, very risky. It might work out, but it also might not, and no matter how good the coin is, only invest what you can afford to lose. And when you start feeling that you can't afford to lose what's been gained, it's time to take some profits and diversify. great risk comes with great rewards, i have 50 % of the family saving into crypto not all(my wife doesn't know it yet lol) i did it because i hate my job, it's worth risking i liquidated stellar and dash and chose Nem after i've done my little research i feel more secure holding nem, the marketing is the only thing that scares me a bit overall nem is solid . I'm sure NEM is great, which is why I still have lots of it. In the mean time, as a public service I'd like to share this site as a good possibility for parking earnings which have been cashed out into fiat: https://www.770account.com/

Yes let's flush 25,000 Euros down the toilet when I could buy Xtrabytes with them and make a killing, or just some more NEM.

... i invested the family saving on Nem because i am sure of the bright future of nem i just dislike the marketing side . they ignore the crypto space, not wise not wise imo Marketing should be divided 50% crypto + 50% non crypto .
You can't be sure of anything in crypto. No matter which coin. Can be BTC, ETH or NEM. There can be an incident and nem is worth zero tomorrow. Its unlikely but possible. Pull back any investments, that you are not comfortable after rethinking about it! ethereum had a big incident they just rolled back the blockchain and they are worth more now. i am not scared of blockchain incidents, if the worst scenario happen there will be a rolling back option on the table. nem went through extensive test before it get released. its unlikely we will have an incident like ether. i am just feeling sad watching a good product like nem, getting a low level marketing. I fully agree with you. Whenever someone mentions marketing you get answered with "we don't need any hype". Nem is hardly used by any business, so how do you expect it to be valuable in the long term. No idea why people are so excited with those side projects, currently Catapult that is supposed to come out in August. I doubt we will see any positive effect that causes shops and businesses to implement NEM It sounds like you might be one of those interested in the "get rich quick" aspect of cryptocurrency. Many in the NEM ecosystem do not have this mindset and are instead patient and in it for the long haul. Mijin and Catapult are going to be cornerstones of the NEM platform and will take time to realize if done properly. The only reason to throw money at marketing right now would be to hype XEM and inflate it's value for short term profit. The best marketing for NEM is to have a highly scalable, enterprise class, feature rich platform that is dynamic and easy to implement. I think the fact that Tech Bureau is funding the marketing and development for Mijin instead of using the NEM marking funds says a lot about the integrity of the core dev team. I'm amazed at how few devs and stakeholders have cashed out during the recent rallies.

Over two billion XEM are now tied up in super nodes. Throw in what's held by the developers and there aren't very many coins available to buyers. I dunno if the super nodes will turn into a ticking time bomb market wise or perhaps they'll become the move of the century for those who operate them. Either way there certainly won't be any new ones if it's nearly 300 BTC to create one. i have 50 % of the family saving into crypto not all(my wife doesn't know it yet lol)
That's the type of move that'll have you eating out of dumpsters eventually. If my wife risked my financial future without telling me she'd be out on the street.

NEM is the safest, most secure and most promising block chaining technology. If there is one thing you should worry about it is crypto market in general including BTC and all ALTs. I do not think that we will see a bear market this year. Most bitcoiners are expecting a bear market to start soon which is a usual yearly event that would last for more than 6 months. But what is happening this year is totally different than all previous years. What you are witnessing nowadays in market instability is due to old bitcoiners thinking that "THIS IS IT" the BULL MARKET is done by 2800$ where in fact it is not done and it might not stop up until BTC cross 5000$. Search engines are showing trends ATH in Bitcoin interest. New users are happy about the drop under 2000$ thats why BTC price started to rise again. NO OLD MARKET ANALYSIS NOR ANY OLD PATTERN will be repeated this year namely in the coming 3 months. So where is NEM standing with all that? Well, if BTC is gonna rise to just 2500$ expect NEM to double if not triple one or two weeks later!

NEM must be doing something right to be #4 in marketcap. Not many coins have achieved this. Partnerships are underway, such as mijin, luxtag, dragonfly fintech, chronobank etc. There is much more that we dont know also in the pipeline. at what price do you see it in 1 year? 2017: >1$ 2018: >2$

The reason why XEM will rise is cause it is superior to ripple. XEM will gain more than 50% of ripple market cap. This is actually one of the main reasons why NEM will gain #3 in 2017 in the range of 5 to 10 Billion where XEM will be higher than $1

Nope. A reason why this must be true is that if there is not any vision coming true in the cryptoworld, then how can anyone trust cryptos? NEM will be the one which is at least somehow predictable. That is what cryptoworld needs. Some gamers may say that only thing that is needed is a regular pump for each coin. But that would be the same as building a well on the top of the mountain. In that well will be water only when it rains. NEM will provide water also when it does not rain
