do you guys think it is a good idea to invest 100btc in NEM? how big can i make it?
There are 2 ways to invest in NEM currently. You can buy NEMstake on the NXT AE or you can buy gold and silver coins or donate to AltNemo ( http://altnemo.com/), the first company in the NEM ecosystem that will work on social mobile apps and a fast trading exchange (just to start!). Donating to a company may not seem like a way to invest, but donators will be given "exclusive privileges" in AltNemo. That's all I can say... Also, next week or the week after next people will be given a third way to invest in NEM, but that is a secret for now Ok this is going to go against everything I have said thus far, but can you delay launch an additional 2 weeks so I can have some time to get another 0.1? how much you have at the moment

do you guys think 1million is a relistic price target?
$1 million per 1 million NEM? Absolutely. Most likely not any time soon, though. $1 million is peanuts compared to where I think it could go. 1 NEM=1 $ !

How should people take NEM serious, if they read this? NEM will have a hard time to pass NXT in the first step. Then we can see further...

Glad i purchased an extra 0.2 nemstake a few days ago when it was 28k NXT. Had a feeling it wouldn't be long before it took off.
I do suspect alot of other altcoins will deem NEM a threat on release tho so i'm anticipating the sort of FUD/DDOS's and other attacks in full force -- just as what NXT got.

Any particular reason why NCC doesn't launch on Mac anymore? NIS seems to be running just fine. When I'm trying to launch it, the last line of console just says "INFO: NEM Community Client - NCC 0.3.2-ALPHA shutdown..." Also, how can I back up my wallet? Would really like to know this before I will receive my 1 million NEM Or is it enough if you just remember your wallet name and password?

You can find subfolders like NIS, NCC, and MON. If you look in the NCC folder there will be a file called "username.wlt". I think that this is your wallet. Copy and paste it somewhere safe. If you need to reload NEM on a different computer you can past that file in and your coins will be there. (if you still know the same exact password. they are mated together) I recently did this on Windows but not Mac, but I think it will be the same process.

I'm trying to run NEM on Windows now, but NCC keeps complaining that "NIS info is not avaiable yet. Trying to retrieve NIS info...". It has been like that for over an hour now. I'm using Java 8 and have booted the node, so I don't know anymore what I can do. Hopefully these problems will be solved in Beta.

That would be ~ 1.2M NXT I guess if you've manage to buy that much, anyway, that would give you at most 53 stakes, as I think that's how many stakes are actually obtainable on NXT AE. (ofc that is assumming, your buy wall wouldn't affect the price, and it surely would...)

That means a port in your router is closed, but it shouldn't affect your beta testing. I had the same problem. The devs have already announced that they fixed this port issue in the next release. Post your NEM address here and people will send you coins and then you can send some out. After 24 hours of coin age you can test harvesting too. https://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2232.msg6019#msg6019

Hello nemsters! Have you meet this problem with new wallet after booting the node and ncc+nis up: "NIS info is not avaiable yet. Trying to retrieve NIS info..." Can't get over it..
It is a known error on the latest release of the Alpha. I had the same message but everything still worked fine. I sent coins, received them, and even harvested. The Devs are already patching it for the next version. Hope so, i did not face this issue with my another laptop with same OS and same antivirus software . My firewall is hard to config (Buffalo), could be that..
