But it may have a problem of a lawsuit by stakeholders who did not receive coins in the future when NEM value is incredibly high.

Like TaunSew suggested it may also have legal implications to prolong the remdeption period. The truth is cryptoland used to be the wild west. If it is the best thing legally to end redemption at launch then that's what we'll do.

How many stakes are already meant to be given to developers and marketing and can anybody tell me how that breakdown will look? I heard devs will get 400 shares? Is that right? And how many devs is that split between? Originally there were 1,000 NEM shares set aside for non-stake holders. Is this still true? It would be nice to know the number breakdowns.

Who exactly would that lawsuit be directed at? The NEM community? NEM is not a company. And I guess it wouldn't be any problem to refund those people with what they originally paid to get a stake.

It is always pretty quit if someone is asking this. I think dev team has got 1000 stakes. Additionally maybe the unclaimed stakes. That´s way to much centralisiation, especially for a so called movement. The rich are getting richer, that´s the argument of devs if you suggest to give the stakeholders more coins, but 25% of all is not enough for development? Centralisation = insane high risk

Anyway even that is not decided but rest assured that we as well want to avoid centralization.

We should do well to get this over with and continue our way toward the launch. I'm sure we'll be able to find a good enough option as with everything until now.

Has anyone made an announcement on the Chinese, Indian, Russian, Reddit, etc threads about claiming stakes?
Logic would say that IF people knew they had a $1000 stake for just logging into a site they would so obviously they haven't become aware of it for whatever reason......or are dead.

Regarding the unclaimed stskes, has anyone suggested a dutch auction with proof of burn? Or equal distribution of them to all holders of nem on a specific date and time.
These are the only two fair distributions imo.
Yes, those two options have been suggested but for various reasons been rejected. An equal distribution would create tons of problems (how to handle those who've sold on the NXT AE etc.) and the stake holders already have enough NEM (NEM need to be spread). Burning the NEM is in my option still an acceptable solution but it has also been rejected. Jyrvalor posted an imo great proposal (although not sure how, and if it should/can be implemented). https://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2501.msg6395#msg6395 Your idea with the developement token is simply awesome. Just read your full post on NEM forum and can only agree with you!

the actual address is still a secret.. Hence secretaddress.com The real address will be posted soon. This makes me glad that we replaced NXT-ADD-RES-STB-DET with "an address to be announced".

Tried https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes/ ended with "You have been banned. Too many failed attempts." after second captcha solving. I forgot to enable cookies in first attempt.
