So im reading up on nexus and ecc, and wondering how nxs can make the claim they are quantum resistant, when ecc will be highly susceptible to quantum attacks, and thereve already been proven security limitations to ecc such as side channel attacks and twist security attacks. Can someone please tell me nxs has implemented something different than ecc which proves its far more advanced than theyre "claiming"?

That's correct. ECC is a weakness.  Colin discusses this a bit: https://youtu.be/4HLzgDxcFH0?t=28m4s

Great presentation, Videlicet.

All technical questions should be asked at http://nexusearth.slack.com - This is where the Nexus action is.
The core team is active there too!

The Nexus protocol is quantum resistant provided the end-user uses good traditional Bitcoin security practices. It can be made nearly quantum proof by combining ECC with other public key private key crypto algorithms through concatenation, and using new addresses for each transaction as a part of the protocol.  Additionally, if there are better algorithms than ECC developed, proposed, and accepted by the mathematics and crypto communities, they will be adopted.  Ultimately, this is a pressing matter not just for Bitcoin and Nexus, but for all crypto...

This is from a Nexus insider in the slack chat:

paulscreen [7:38 PM]
Hey guys, just to clarify a few  things... a new full time dev has joined the team now. He's moving out to Arizona to work with Colin, but there will be a period of training/learning before he is fully up to speed. On the release of tritium, the comment from Colin is that it will be ready when it's ready, and nothing else.  There's at least one important strategic partnership that was agreed on at the conference that will be announced when the other party is ready... not massive news, but still very positive. There are several test seed nodes already on the network running tritium beta. I'm not sure what functionality is in that beta version, but whatever is there, it's running.

Satellite network will come much later I think.  Late 2018 I've heard.  It's early still Smiley

Anyone got the nexus wallet problem?

What's the problem?  If it's not working correctly for you, you could try these steps:

1.  Backup your wallet.dat
2.  Download the recent database from nexusearth.com
3.  Close your wallet, and delete everything from its folder except for the wallet.dat
4.  Extract the recent database zip file into your nexus folder
5.  Restart wallet

After wallet opens, it should start syncing up for you.

Anyone got the nexus wallet problem?

I have previously raised this issue here.
For me, helped remove all files (except wallet.dat) and full re-sync the blockchain with used Oracle Database.
Maybe this info will help someone   Smiley

Hi mates,

I wanted to send my NXS to my wallet from Cryptopia's but there's a maintenance message saying "Investigating fork".  What does it mean ? And sorry if it has already been discussed or answered previously in the thread... :/

People in the NXS slack said that Cryptopia told them they are actively working on the issue.  I'd guess it will be resolved soon.  In the meantime you can use Bittrex if you like.
