Exciting times for Nexus!  I hope you ll are enjoying the White Paper.  http://nexusearth.com/downloads/nexus-peer-peer.pdf

As glenl mentioned there will be a series of White papers that detail more specifics of each particular release.

Just a heads up that the scope of the Nexus Conference has become much more broad and we are planning much more than we had originally with just the Conference from 3-6PM each day.  We have hired an event planner and many things are in the works.  That being said, the Early Bird Ticket Price of $100 for the Conference will be ending on July 15th.  The Price will then increase to $200 and last until August 15th.  After that the price will be $300. So get your tickets early.  Our planner Jon has a lot of experience with these types of events and he was very impressed with the facility in Aspen and has already met many folks there.  He has come up with a lot of options for us.  It is going to be a great event.  I hope to see you all there!

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I think not, I will get some solo mining with 3 nvidia cards to see how djm34 miner is doing here.

About private miners: No, thanks.

Same here. Couldn't believe I was excited to read a whitepaper today. Usually not the kind of thing to get too excited about. I was not let down.

Looks like this coin is going to have a steady pump soon.

I just gave up syncronizing the wallet, too painfull, does it have a faster way to sync it?

Sure. You can download database for lld wallet here:

http://nexusearth.com/bootstrap/LLD-Database/recent.rar

Delete from C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\nexus everything, except wallet.dat and nexus.conf

extract it to C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\nexus

I5-4670K trying to mine running the following parameters in Windows 7 64-bit:
 :BEGIN
coinshield_prime.exe nexusminingpool.com 9549 <my nxs address> 3
GOTO BEGIN

And I am getting around 30-40 PPS. This seems very low compared to all the guides out there. Mind you I am dual mining ETH+SIA in the background but I didn't think GPU mining should interfere that much with CPU mining.

Any idea why it's so low? I tried on some of my other machines (Intel Q6600 and Intel G4400) all are getting very low PPS (low double digits).

Also could someone explain the CSD balance to me? Is that supposed to increase above 0? Or is my PPS so low that it's failing to update?

anyone can give an estimate how long can a GTX 1080 find a block?

As long as the grass grows and the rivers run.

and how much is the block reward?

Innumerable and uncountable, vast and expansive.

Thanks

You're very welcome!

Yes Rhyzen 16 core is verry good in finding blocks with the latest miner.
Get the miner from our mining channel in slack. I've shared it in shared files.
Re use ur old miner.conf and bat file
