I think Litecoin was bound to hit it's cost true cost of mining just as Bitcoin hit it's cost of mining. I can't see Litecoin not existing anytime soon and gets a lot of use, in fact people should use Litecoin some more as it adds more fluidity to the market.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

No. Litecoin is still alive in the market. It still exist silently. Litecoin is backed up by Bitcoin. So, as long as bitcoin is existing, Litecoin will also exist. It wouldn't be remove in the market easily.

I know this thread was created when litecoin was very low in value but today litecoin has really increased. I believe litecoin is still with huge potential and can go higher than the current price.

Recently, an update called "SegWit" has been made for Litecoin. This update speeds up the Litecon process approval times. Thanks to this event, Litecoin will be more solid for the future. A nice privilege to be able to process faster and more conveniently. People likes Litecoin.

Ltc is a fork of bitcoin. so it doest't depend on it. Even if bitcoin will die, the litecoin will alive and can be used for transactions and so on. But the price will be lower, sure.

The "official" death of a coin is determined by its users.  As long as miners and traders are using LTC, it will be alive!

See: dogecoin. A memecoin considered dead but people still use.

It is strange why it is going up when there is no good news on this coin. It is an opposite when Litecoin was going to 0.006 a few months ago.

That is right. But I think the Bitcoin has more community support, so it will not die before LTC. Even Bitcoin Cash is better.

No. Litecoin is still alive in the market. Litecoin is came from the bitcoin. The difference of it is litecoin has a lower value compare to bitcoin.
Litecoin is very popular with an almost constant presence in the top 5 of cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

Litecoin is not going to die yet, even on the contrary, it seems that this coin began to develop actively. Recently, the creator of litecoin sold his coins and even this did not affect the price. This coin has a strong community that supports it.

I don't actually hold much litecoin, but I agree that it will go up at some point.  Bitcoin will pull it along, and many merchants see Litecoin as a #2 coin.  There are many merchants that will take only bitcoin and litecoin still.

As a digital currency which is valuable, it must include two aspects, that is, technology and market. If there is only excellent technology without holders and users, it can be simply regarded as a kind of technology but not a kind of currency. Many digital currencies' technology is better than bitcoin, but their value is lower than Bitcoin

People likes litecoin more because of fast transactions more. Mining is easier but if you haven’t started mining before I wouldn’t start mining it now.

I think the litcoin will not disappear, because Being a valuable digital coin, Litecoin can now give us a shining new leader, and many people prefer litecoin more because of faster trading.
