I'm not so sure that LTC is dead. You need to consider the fact that LTC is one of the most widely spread coins in the world. The greater the number of people that use/hold a coin, the more stable the coin is and the more likely it will be able to weather dumping.
Litecoin originated at a time when there were few coins around which is part of the reason why it has such a huge fanbase. Nowadays, you get a dozen new coins everyday. Even though they pack a lot of features, it's harder for them to accumulate faithfuls - 2 reasons, 1, there are too many coins to choose from and 2, a lot people are impatient and jump from one coin to the next without ever really settling down.

Far from dead.  I'm expecting a rebranding of sorts once coinbase adds it.

Coinbase feels they can make money off this and I'm sure they will.

IT's not dead it's just lagging behind a bit right now, just like bitcoin. Let's see what happens when bitcoin has another high rise and hopefully LTC will follow. Litecoin really needs some more merchant adoption though to help it along the way.

Appears that LTC is crashing but so is BTC and so many other alts.  I am pretty sure that there will be a small revival coming in the near future. Not that i trust LTC or anything, but if you are a trader... good time to buy!  Wink

The only thing dead around here is some peoples brain cells.
The average Litecoin price since 1 January is $ 11.86 there is about 33 000 new coins each and every day. Since miners thumping hard since the beginning of the year $ 391354 USD worth of Litecoins had to be purchased day in day out. Only 54 coins out of about 4000 coins in existence have a higher total marketcap. If on average almost 400k USD of new money is found daily, is considered dead with only Bitcoin having higher money flow, what are all the other coins then, dead buried and devoured by the worms?

Manfredo, old expert: ~28000 Litecoins are mined everyday, not 33 K.

Hmmm, if you paid a bit more attention, you would've noticed that I wrote 'one of the most widely spread coins' not the most widely spread coin  Roll Eyes

LTC wont die just yet.

If he and when he die, lot of other coin will dies.
I dont think that some og them will allowed this to happen.
This is one of first coin and i dont think that developers will allowed this.

Yet again we have seen that this is not true in some others coin.
So anything is possible.

And all of capitalization just disappear, and everyone who has LTC become bagholder.
I don't think so.

I'm not sure about the correctness of your opinion.

Looks like dev isn't anymore interested about this coin. So it's almost a dead coin.

eventually they die too, they persist long enough I think, having previously tried to get up several times, but finally all in vain.
I still remember in one of their faucet I got 0.9 LTC,
but the site had been sold before I could withdraw them: D

yes several faucet in that time give even more but when turn to withdraw they just went dead.
also i heard that they dont want to develop ltc, but i see future for little more cuz they want to merge pools with several other coins.
as long as this is option ltc wont die if they leave this then it will slowly loose no. 2 on list but it wont die.
