The server is down. I sent a message to the guy who runs the server. Maybe he is on vacation, but I think it is more likely that he stopped paying for the server. He hasn't been on the forum or contacted me fort a while. Anyway, I am going to post the code on github next week after the new year. Someone else can give it a go.

Private DNS that resolves p2pmining.com is on the same server.  I still control the p2pmining.com domain.  It is like the server has just vanished. The IP address was 69.64.75.10 and that doesn't ping either.

Well fuck real life... I sincerely apologize guys. Server went down due to me not being on the reasonable internet for over 2 months. However, I will be contacting JayCoin to see about running the sucker again if he hasn't already posted the shit to github. Again, I apologize.

Was it backed up? A chance of it picking up where it left off?

Sorry for the very late reply, Smoov. Unfortunately, all i have is a semi-recent DB backup to when it went down. However, should i start running P2Pmining.com again, I will be pulling info from the DB backup and paying that out of my personal wallet as I am responsible for the server going down. The only difference is that the server will not be running either NMC or I0C when (and if) it comes back online. Currently, I'm trying to get a hold of JayCoin so I can get the code for it again.

EDIT: Will also be open to suggestions about potential changes to how the p2pmining.com share system works. Right now it's really just a proportional split over a 24h period. I'd really like to switch it to Share-based PPLNS instead of Time-based like it is now. Also looking at making sure LTC isn't borked this time by one miner mining at 1MH/s while the rest are CPU mining it.

Well, I can certainly understand I0C not coming back (unless whoever is tinkering with it actually gets it current again), but why discontinue NMC as well?

I have 3GB ram on my mining vm and running also LTC and TRC nodes. Still have plenty ram as buffers.

Same here... tho I have TRC segregated, cuz something is going on with the TRC side having a negative impact on my shares... many more orphaned shares than I should be getting, like 3-4x as many. So, running my own private TRC p2pool.

I can't even get I0C to fully load anymore cuz of the memory issue.

NMC hasn't really been updated in a year+. Basically, unless there's overwhelming demand that I leave it in the rotation (which there seems to be that demand), I'm just gonna phase it out. But since that demand is present, I will keep it going with NMC.

Is this pool no longer working? It seems like the sites are down. I'm not sure if this thread is even too old to post on.

Well, the last word was it went down when the host shut down (I think that's what happened to the company hosting it)

It sounded like someone else was working on picking up the ball and running with it, but that was a little while ago, no word since.

JayCoin's motives were noble I'm sure but I never quite got the point of joining a pool that's nothing more than a node in p2pool.  It defeats the whole purpose of p2pool  which is DDOS-resistance.

You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.
