Not necessarily. If the error leads to a seed being leaked the attacker could end up "winning" the coins slowly over time.

Holy crap, trolls and madbros are running rampant in this thread. I know that lots of people leave the crypto community because they feel that everyone is self-centered and douchey, and this is just one of many perpetuating this same attitude.

I agree, the issue here is that bitcoin software guys think they are smarter than everyone else. Regardless if they are or not. They have poor EQ and slightly higher IQ. This is why most engineers stay as engineers. Steve Jobs wasn't particularly smart in an IT sense, but he was smart and had this same attitude which made him hard to deal with.

It seems we have a bunch of the same personality in one show and they are conflicting due to the need to make themselves look smarter than the rest (a penis joust as klye would put it). What they end up doing is looking like a bunch of 5 year old kids fighting over who's fault it was that the argument started. Unable to let things go is the trait of high IQ and low EQ.

Maybe you lot need to grow up a bit, because really, if you don't like it, just leave it alone and do your own thing. Dean is certainly no malicious, but lacks PR skills. True con men have PR skills and play you like a Puppet. Manl was like that, able to gain trust by association which is the first thing every con man does, while staying anonymous the whole time. I have not seen dean exhibit these traits. so we should be happy he is who he is. He doesn't change personalities or try to woo the guy with the most bitcoin in order to gain trust in the community. That is exactly what Manl did! Doog has good cred in dice world, after all he ran an operation everyone seemed to enjoy and trust. But that doesn't make him an expert on who you should trust. Just because doog thows money at something doesn't make it right. I think I coined the term "Doog queen of Dice" or something along those lines. It comes from an observation that doog is indeed king of bitcoin and dice in these forums, but he quite frequently drops his lipstick and gets in a hissy fit over the smallest things. So i had to turn king to queen. It is most appropriate for what has been seen on these forums since the closure of Just-dice.

As for Finnile, he found something, but quickly tried to profit from it. Had he not gone crazy on the forums, and waited for the full solution, he would have been paid. But he caused bad press for something that wasn't that bad. Then expects to get a benefit from it. I don't think he deserves that payment unless the payment came from someone who wanted to destroy PRC. I can guarentee Fin saw the bet made and then noticed the bet wasn't displayed. My bot looks at 1. the change in balance is correct, 2. the last bet is correct to change in balance, 3. verifies all bets after a determined amount. after 600,000 bets, I have not been alerted from my bot that something has been incorrect.

I did pay Finnile 0.5Btc and he can keep it. I paid it because I felt bad for his loss on dicebitcoin - even after he trolled me bad in PRC chat (but UV knows I love a good troll). Manl refunded him, so I would have thought he would return it. I shouldn't expect the charity back because it was Given to him. However, maybe he should consider that payment for finding the display at PRC.

Also note I do not invest a lot in PRC, I do have 1 to 2 btc in there some days. But I use Bitcoin for currency purposes so i pull it out all the time. Yes I use it to buy stuff, pay people and gamble. So I do not feel the need to protect dean, but I can assure you, he is a genuine guy with visions of making a decent casino and eventually become a legal one that is regulated. That is different to any other casino I have seen in bitcoin world.

Peace out folks and have a beer to calm down. Its not the end of the world if dean makes a GUI error. It is if he makes a DB error but that wont happen because that code is very simple and easily checked!

Mr bodgybrothers I am not going to argue with you about dooglus or finnile. But I will just say this, In your constructive post I see nothing except for a single line at the end

" Peace out folks and have a beer to calm down. Its not the end of the world if dean makes a GUI error. It is if he makes a DB error but that wont happen because that code is very simple and easily checked!:"
You say nothing about errors Deans made during coding or about the error that happened yesterday.
I found a bug recently and Dean said he flagged my account, but that was not the truth. I was paid just 0.3 BTC for the same.

finnile's bets were indeed missing from his bets tab clear from the video and so was a HR bet missing. Now he might have not martingaled but some other user might have and might have never verified the bet. So if someone like Dean wants to launch a GAMBLING WEBSITE then he should make sure it is bug free from the start. Its money business.
DB,JD, or diceninja hasn't had any such mistakes. People end up losing money due to these mistakes. I have lost in the past a big pot in poker because I Had PRC opened in another tab while playing poker.
DO I deserve a refund? YES
Will I get one? NO
Why because Dean will say my account was flagged(and will never agree to the main issue)

The Poker issue still exists till this day and has never been fixed.
But you are correct "Its not the end of the world if dean makes the 10th coding error."

The martingale argument doenst work, as this is a cache error, not a live error i thought.  Dont want to derail this back to previous topic, but the bug only happens when you close and reopen the tab.

The point is, this is not all about PRC. This is about personalities. Seriously, if you think PRC is a big risk then don't use it. Did you hear me trolling the forums when I thought Dicebitcoin was a shit? no.. I trolled a bit in PRC chat and just decided not to play at dicebitcoin. I didn't care if others felt the need to put money into DB, good luck to them. The same goes with PRC. Why make such a public fuss over something you don't want to use? Its because you want to defame someone due to a personality clash. I really haven't seen anything exposed that is concerning me with PRC. Dicebitcoin exposure was concerning though. And that mateo guy was also very strange. Sometimes what you think is good is bad and what you think is bad is not so bad. You need to think for yourself on that one. Don't let me or anyone else tell you what to believe.

Bitcoin gambling is all illegal anyway, so if you want to gamble legally with regulation, go to a regulated site or a regulated casino... Stop complaining about your stupidity of gambling/investing at an unlicensed site.

You don't understand Bazza. I can't see a 1 satoshi bet made last week so it's only reasonable to shut PRC down and Dean pay everyone 1 BTC for their troubles.

Dean, I just found another bug on the website. Can we solve the bug bounty publicly? Tongue

EDIT: It might not be considered a bug. But anyways Dean has made it open after my email. So here it is .
Usually when you type in a new client seed, then the nonce should reset to 0. But it does not happen on PRC. meaning if you type in a new client seed when you are at nonce 5, of the previous seed, then the new client seed starts from nonce 5.
This can create confusion for people verifying bets. On other sites, it usually resets, but again its not wrong if Dean programs it this way.
Just pointing it out.

Now can I please get the hate from the PRC Community for pointing this  @May @melds @ricky ? Cheesy

Hi all. After months and months of working hard on other projects, I finally found the time to add support for PRCdice to my old just-dice dicebot.

To get the bot to work for PRCdice, enter https://prcdice.eu in the secret url box, click go and select the prcdice radio button at the top of the bot. Once the page has loaded, just log in and you're ready to start. All features except auto invest, auto withdraw, auto login and auto start work as normal.

Key feature list:
No browser needed
Very flexible martingale
Zig Zag(High/Low Switching)
Auto invest/withdraw
Simulate Strategy
Verify JD rolls
A lot of stats including:profit, wins, losses, streak info, profit predictions, max bets before bankruptcy
Email notifications for certain events (user can enable/disable)
sound notifications for certain events (user can enable/disable)
Option to save username and password for JD locally (no sneaky stuff done with usernames and passwords, check the code if you don't believe me)
automatically saves current bet settings on exit
import/export settings
Generates table with possible profits/losses for up to 30 losses in a row
minimize to tray
Emergency escape key

Dean, I just found another bug on the website. Can we solve the bug bounty publicly? Tongue

EDIT: It might not be considered a bug. But anyways Dean has made it open after my email. So here it is .
Usually when you type in a new client seed, then the nonce should reset to 0. But it does not happen on PRC. meaning if you type in a new client seed when you are at nonce 5, of the previous seed, then the new client seed starts from nonce 5.
This can create confusion for people verifying bets. On other sites, it usually resets, but again its not wrong if Dean programs it this way.
Just pointing it out.

actually, you wouldn't want the nonce to restart to 0 if you just update the client seed?  That is because the server seed doesn't change.  IF the server seed changed if you changed the client seed, then the nonce should be able to reset. as then you're guaranteed new random rolls.

If you were able to change the client seed but keep the server seed the same, AND reset the nonce, you could roll a few times on one seed, check the results, change the client seed 2x (once to a new one, then once to the old one) and the nonce would reset, and you would know the roll results?

i could have the provably fair stuff wrong tho
