Anyone willing to test my P2Pool?

url: http://204.12.193.178:2334

Please make sure you add --difficulty-multiplier=256 to sgminer command to avoid "share above target" error.

Nice one, US p2pool node.
U are on other side of our planet, too high ping. 4.5x higher ping than to suprnova from me. But can U share source of this p2pool nod? I can make EU node if someone will be interested.

Dev can you do something about the hashharder pool?  remove it from the first post maybe?  or else ask them to fix it?  It's not working since two days.

Luckily there're two other working pools:  http://204.12.193.178:2334 and http://deep.suprnova.cc but this hashharder pool should be up again asap

That'll be because up until now, Qubitcoin has been the only altcoin to use the qubit algo exclusively --- some of the myriads offer qubit as part of their repertoire.

If you're looking for off-the-beaten-track combos, other near neighbours are the two new “nist5” coins, Icebergcoin and Talkcoin, they use the same direct chaining combination H0(H1(H3(H4(H5))))) as qubit but they use a different set of 5 NIST candidates: (BLAKE - Grøstl - JH - Keccak - Skein) instead of qubit's (Luffa - CubeHash - SHAvite - SIMD - Echo).

I've no comment to make on any of the other qualities of these two altcoins, this is merely an objective description of the hash fns in the combo.

Cheers,

Graham

Well, this is a very good question Smiley Move back to the moment when LTC was created, the people said: "looks good, what are some other scrypt algo coins? I haven't noticed them before." and at the moment when DRK was created they said "looks good, what are some other X11 algo coins? I haven't noticed them before." Grin
It's very simple: who's first takes all Smiley

+1 but the net hashrate is still too low though like no one notices this coin yet.

The qubitcoin algo story was a misfortune. It was originally designed to be the CPU algo. Some people started to use it with GPU in the January. Public GPU miner was released in the February, but due to hashmonster pool's exploits presetnt at the time and lack of the knowledge many pools admins banned miners using it. The other fact is that it was a crucial period for original qubitcoin. It's reward curve was very aggressive. Too aggressive. The reward haled every 21 days. It is why cubitcoin is now dying. You could not mine fairly when the reward was high due to restrictions at GPU usage. Nobody want to mine when the reward is funny. People lost the interest in this coin.

Deepcoin introduced the same algo under a different circumstances. There are known GPU solutions. FPGA is far away. The reward curve is moderate making the coin more resistant in any transitional period. There is a competition between ATI and NVIDIA. The advantage for early miners exists, but it is nothing if you compare with the most coins released nowadays.

What else? This is the first real POW coin since POS flood the market.
