tried that => cgminer.exe --bmsc-options 115200:60 --bmsc-freq 0881
I see all the chips been set to the new freq then after that boom process crashes.
Initialization of the boards look all good.
Very strange.
EDIT: restarted using my old command line => cgminer.exe --bmsc-options 115200:55 BOOM they all run to 57 GH/s EDIT2 : Switched for 60 ms. still around 56-57
that is strange... what are you running, linux or windows? doh, i can see that on the cgminer.exe you reported :-p do you have a linux box to test on? I got my Raspberry Pi, but i still need to buy an usb hub. mine sucks EDIT: I also run the your compiled version for Windows EDIT2: anyway, no big deal. i just have to set the freq to the boards, process crashes after the freq part. Restart it without the freq and i'm all good. I guess i have to do it for every power shutdown on the boards tho. current info: running time - 15 minutes GHS: 473.69 Watt: 469 at wall when i start it up several of the blades produce a lot of errors, but it equals out over time... i will post stats after 6 hours again

I am trying to get 2 S1 blades to work; so far, I can only get 1 blade to hash. If I plug in both USB UART sticks (cp2102), only 1 works, never 2. My cgminer running config is:

I am getting about 50 Ghs. Both S1 blades are pencil modded for undervolting.
I'd like to get both blades to hash. BTW, the cp2102 USB sticks go in Pluggable USB Hub bought on Amazon. I am running the pre-compiled cgminer (cgminer-bmsc) found on the thread here. Zadig winusb driver installed for both 2102 sticks, running Windows 7 64-bit.
Any ideas?

I had a similar issue and here's how I temporarily solved it (before moving my blades to rPi). Start cgminer with just one board connected, and after it starts hashing, plug in the second board. You may need to remove the hotplug switch from your startup line though. The difference from your scenario is that whenever I started cgminer with two blades connected, it would crash almost as soon as it recognised the boards.

I plugged in my cp2012 sticks, ran zadig and replaced the driver with winusb, unplugged one stick, ran cgminer without hotplug parameter and then plugged in the stick again, now cgminer found both blades, amu0 and amu1. I am getting about 98 Gh/s.

Well, after banging a little while my head against linux permissions, pinouts and the usual stuff, i finally revived my antminer whose control board's usb controller died using 2 cp2102 and following this thread + a little bit of googling. Now i'm looking at some standalone blades, if someone has some to sell, i'm interested.

There are a few more capacitors around the chips on the BTC Garden, (that probably is there to handle the extra power they put through.), but my question is this. Why is there a central FPGA? I would understand if it was using the board as its own control, but it is running network and cgminer through a RaspBerryPi. It uses half the chips of the S1 and gets about double it's hashrate. I am presuming the kicker is the FPGA. So...if we hook-up an S1 Board to and FPGA board and run it through that and reversing the cgminer that BTCGarden is using..could we possibly quadruple the hashrate of the S1?
(Ie: If the BTC Garden runs 1 board at 155Ghash with 16 chips and an FPGA...would it not go to assume that 1 Board of S1 with 32 chips and FPGA would go about 4 x 85Ghash or 340Ghash?)
BTW: BTC Garden is using an Altera Cyclone IV chip.

Do you have a Datasheet on the chips?
That still doesn't explain the FPGA.
You have the machine, supposedly, so could you take a photo of the chip and post, or simply read the chip number and do a google search for it. If there is a datasheet in the public domain, it shall be found!
