Anonymous predictions are useless if you don't allow transactions with 0 confirmation. I tried several times anonymous predictions (without account)...for 1 confirmation (with fee) I have to wait 2-6 hours or even more. After this time my event is over and btc come back -0.5 mBTC (flow into your pocket). Having account is the same, waiting 3 hours and not see anything, my event is about to start and I can't put a bet.

I know it's not your problem these problems with confirmations, but as sportsbook you should allow 0 confirmation like bitpay, directbet, bitzino,...hundreds of other sites. Cashout only with 1 confirmation of deposit. Simple solution.

Payments should be instant. Slow payments don't attract people (especially gamblers) to you. Most of gamblers play quickly, under the influence of emotions. If the gambler can't bet quickly, it will go to the competition.

If you care about consumers, you will know what to do...

Thank you for your input. Let me explain.   We are aware of these problems and trying to solve them. However, it is not as easy for us as for traditional bookmakers.   Traditional bookmakers have no obligation towards anyone, as they take the counterparty risk of every bet themself. If a tx does not confirm they just void the bet and are fine.    If we match a bet on our exchange on the other hand  we have to guarantee the matching party that we can provide the promised liquidity.   There are attacking scenarios which cannot be completely ruled out, where a double spend attack could cause some serious damage. We therefore do not accept 0 confirmation tx at this time.

However we are working on a solution, where the majority of bets will be accepted even with 0 confirmations. These bets will have to meet certain requirements though (have a sufficient tx fee, be not too big at reasonable odds and some more).  We will inform you here when we are ready with the implementation.


If you put 0.1mBTC as a fee the transaction will usually be in the next block.

what are your plans to add more liquidity to your site? It seems like most markets have very little interest right now

I love the exchange concept but you need lots of users to build critical mass

What markets do you mean? On the sport markets we regularly have up to 60BTC per bet. In some cases up to 100BTC. The are the highest limits you will find within Bitcoin.

On the none sport markets you are right: here is the liquidity very low. We are currently implementing market maker strategies and we are in exchange with several potential marker makers. You can be assured that the liquidity for political predictions (like next president) will soon be as high as the sport events. For predictions like: will the Bitcoin block size increase it might be more difficult. To attract market maker it would help if user would signal demand for higher liquidity.

1st set won Gasquet, so my bet won. I don't need to wait x hours to finish. I should get money after 1st set. If I have to wait 3 or 4 hours to get the money...little waste of time. Other books give money after 1st set.

Haha - thanks! This was the most clear "improvement suggestion" I have seen so far. We will care for it soon.

Another short notice: We really would like to accept 0 conf transactions and we know that other sport bet sites do this. However - it is to easy to double spend a 0 conf transaction.

So we really thing sooner or later someone will attack sportbet sites with 0 confs. There might be some payment channel solutions that will allow 0 confs in the future - and than we will of course allow it but for now it is our prediction that the other sport bet sites will get into trouble with 0 confs and disable them soon.
