I just created a new email for it. Best spam solution coz you also know who or where your email address was garnered from.
I do that every time I sign up to anything on the planet ... I've got about 550 email addresses - rarely have to close them down ...
There's a better way - sign up for hushmail service. Its free for a year, then it costs $30/year. They have a feature called pseudonyms - you can add an unlimited number of these to your account, they are just like creating a new email account. If you get spam on a specific pseudonym, just delete it from your list. Or you can do this for free by using gmail and a + sign. gmailusername+spam001@gmail.com goes to gmailusername@gmail.com. Simple.

Here is my recommended method to declare winning ticket numbers of any forum lottery:
1. Publish block# to determine winner. For this lottery's timeline, block 171420 (~8 days from now) after 120 confirmations could be the one to determine the winner...
Is this the block number you will use to determine the winner? It looks like it's going to be on schedule since block rate is 99% of expected rate.I have uploaded a web page to do the same ticket winner calculation as I outlined earlier (from a blockexplorer-type site, you have to cut and paste the last 10 digits of the block's hash): http://we.lovebitco.in/lottery.html

How about ... 2 blocks after the first block with a UTC block time (at least 1 second) after the UTC end of the competition? Though you'd have to wait a while after any chosen block due to possible orphans (also ... I have no idea what you said you'll do about people posting transactions to buy tickets close to the end or late - since even if someone posts a transaction before the closing time, it could end up in a block after the closing time: transactions don't have a time field, only the block they go into has a time field) who thought a simple raffle could be considered geekily complex

Was covered earlier on up in the thread, look for the picture of a high mountain lake. You mean it's not up for more rational suggestions? $12.10 USPS to Korea? Mathew N. Wright, millionaire. He owns a mansion, not in Nigger Creek, but in some White Haven.

83 hours left and counting. Anyone can win this with just a single entry. If you buy two entries, you'll have twice the chance of winning! (Aren't I good at math?)

Nope with 100 participants if you have 1 ticket you get 1/100 chance. If you buy a second ticket you will get 2/101 which is not double. Sorry but I had to contradict you. don't know why

Again, I'll clarify: Participating in this raffle versus not participating in this raffle, increases your chances of winning dramatically.

Not again. you are gonna hate me for this. 0% increased to x% is a infinite% increase (divide by 0 stuff) On topic now: how many tickets sold by now?
