The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I have been here since day 1 (Summercoin) and the one thing I really wish is that the Devs would post on here even if just once every few days.

Instead they only now frequent the nav slack channel with a circulation of like 20 members where as even those passing through on here the circulation is massive.

Don't get me wrong, since Craig has taken over Nav has come on in leaps and bounds in a very short time. But please post on here, its so easy for the masses to copy and paste quotes from the dev team on here and put them in tweets etc. rather than have to go through registering for slack etc. just to see only a few people on there - most of whom are just running servers and not real people having a punt on new and emerging things (like Nav still is)

I wouldn't be still here after all these years if I didn't believe in Nav, but come on guys just a few posts on here may help with the Nav indoctination.

Which crypto coin will pump next?
Join "PumpTheCoin" group at Telegram https://t.me/PumpTheCoin
and you will now when a pump starts and be able to join the pump.

if you believe that anyone else than the owner of the group makes money, then you deserve to lose all your money!

Are there any PoS calculator for Navcoin?
I wonder how much coin should I stake to make staking profitable?
Which wallet should I use?

Are there any PoS calculator for Navcoin?
I wonder how much coin should I stake to make staking profitable?

It is 5% per year and the price is very volatile. So hard to say how much you need to stake to make it profitable.

Price per year for the NavPi in power:
  • 18kWh (USA): $2,16
  • 18kWh (Russia): $1,98 = 59.15RUB
  • 18kWh (Japan): $4,86 = 112.53 JPY
  • 18kWh (Germany): $6,30 = €5,49

Depending on the country you live in you can calculate how much stake rewards you would need. At the current price (~ $0,20):
  • 18kWh (USA): ~ 11 NAV
  • 18kWh (Russia): ~ 10 NAV
  • 18kWh (Japan): ~ 23 NAV
  • 18kWh (Germany): ~ 31 NAV

A 1000 NAV gives 50 NAV yearly in stake rewards and easily covers the energy costs you would make. So anything over a 1000 NAV is profitable for sure. If you want to cover the costs for a NavPi (when you buy and install it yourself), a Raspberry Pi 3 with everything you need is around $80. This equals 400 NAV.

9000 NAV gives: 9000*0.05= 450NAV stake reward yearly.
450 * $0.20= $90,00

So with 9000 NAV you will stake enough to cover energy costs and to cover the costs for the Raspberry Pi.

Quote
A fast calculation for a desktop computer (150kWh)
  • 150kWh (USA): $18,00 = 90 NAV (Stake 1800 NAV to cover costs)
  • 150kWh (Russia): $16,50 = 83 NAV (Stake 1660 NAV to cover costs)
  • 150kWh (Japan): $39,00 = 195 NAV (Stake 3900 NAV to cover costs)
  • 150kWh (Germany): $52,50 = 263 NAV (Stake 5260 NAV to cover costs)

Thanks
So I need to buy Raspberry Pi and how much work will be needed to start staking then?
Or how to buy NavPi (I understand that it's already available ready solution ?)
I will buy NAV anyway (the lower price the more) and I wonder with which amount wil be worth to start  staking Smiley

You DON'T need to buy anything, you can download CORE wallet which stakes here:
https://navcoin.org/downloads/  (available for Windows, OSX & Linux)

You get 5% reward for staking! (not less & not more, exactly 5%)

You have 10.000 NAV, staking reward per year is 500NAV
You have 100.000 NAV, staking reward per year is 5.000 NAV

Ok, but keeping in mind energy costs which are 10 or more times more with ordinary laptop or pc than rasPi...
Now I wonder if I can stake more coin in one rasPi than Nav only; will dedicated  NavPi allow this?

You ask, we provide!

STAKING CALCULATOR

https://navtechservers.com/navtech-tools/staking-calculator/

On this page two calculators can be found. One to calculate the minimal amount of NAV Coin you have to stake to cover costs. The second calculator will show the annual NAV Coin you will get from staking.

Actually mate, the Telegram Group drives quite a lot of people...It has more than 500 members and Slack and Telegram are synced. Also there's a very active Spanish NAV Coin group with 128 members. Craig has been focusing in coordinating the programing (which I think is great!) with several projects running in parallel.

Why don't you join any of the channels?

We would like to see more ''old schoolers''

With Navcoin's simplicity and seamless functionality in mind, I designed a few banners to post within the Navcoin banner competition. Leave your thoughts if you like!

There is something wrong with the font you are using. Did you scale it some how? It looks a bit blurred.
