Anyone else have issues with POS?
I have quite a few with question marks on the left hand side. When I hover over it says: Unconfirmed, Generated but not accepted.
Have had others after a chunk of these that have already went through.

It's probably your wallet is out of sync during the stake is created and when it get back into syn it would not in the real block. Basically your stake is create in a block which already generated by other wallet who is synced and in the right block. yes, I have a few of them.

why everybody is rushing things up? havent you seen a commercial or something else ? Samsung for example announces Galaxy S5 and floods the news media with 3d drawings... everybody gets crazy... and waits.. begging for the release... and the realese is after 3 months lets say.. and everyone is happy... here is only whining and demand... not begging...
jeeezzzz cut that crap already...when its ready it will be ready... go check a video on youtube and look for a turorial on one of the things you see everyday.. --HTML---.... if half of you whinners can make a hello world page or lift a fucken apache with a domain... then come back and ask for 99999% more complicated stuff.. but i hope you realise that its not easy...
and most of the other coins are promises...and BIG announcements.. nothing real made... But they are following the marketing principles...sell something before its even made... and dont forget its summer... yes i want to go to the sea.. and clean my mind for two hours... than sit and pushing my self to create something fast... cause 100% it will be buggy... and debugging takes more time.. So give the devs a rest..

Why does it take forever to actually do a transaction with this coin -_-
Because people are not staking their coins like they should be. EVERYONE - PLEASE UNLOCK YOUR WALLET FOR STAKING!!!! YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO UNLOCK FOR STAKING ONLY, IF YOU USE IT YOU WILL SEE FAR LESS REPORTS OF THE NETWORK ISSUES PEOPLE ARE REPORTING NOW. AT THIS POINT, THIS IS A PROOF OF STAKE COIN, WE NEED STAKE TO KEEP IT ALIVE!!Because there were no entries for the previous staking competition, we hereby declare no winners. We believe that the lack of entrants is our own fault for being unclear about how the competition works. Therefore, we will begin a new competition starting at 7/19/2014 10:00 AM GMT.

The StealthCoin team would like to introduce to you The StealthCoin Great Stake Challenge 2!
The goal of the challenge is to increase the number of transactions on the network that are staking. Staked transactions allow the blockchain to advance because stake minters (owners of stake) find blocks by mining by Proof-of-Stake (PoS). PoS is a system of mining where miners find blocks and get rewards just by holding coins and keeping their wallets unlocked for minting. This system requires very little energy compared to Proof-of-Work (PoW). Competitors participate by creating or selecting an address in their own wallet, which is unlocked for minting. For each day of the competition, a competitor can simply send 1 XST to that address at regular intervals for as long as possible, trying to get as close to one minute of spacing as possible between sends. The idea is that three days later, each of these transactions will become eligible to mint a block, securing the blockchain and advancing it as well. Spacing the transactions evenly helps to keep the blockchain moving at an even pace. Although the size of a staking transaction is important for minting a block, transactions of 1 XST or larger will be accepted for this competition. If it is still unclear how to enter, here is an example. - At the start of the first day of the competition (7/19/2014 10:00 AM GMT), a competitor selects a stealth address to use (e.g. RzNCNazZyYDwjTAiPXqVaZqtdpkD65SstQ).
- Five minutes into the competition, the competitor sends 1 XST to the selected address.
- Five minutes later, the competitor sends 1 XST to the selected address.
- Five minutes later, the competitor sends 1 XST to the selected address.
- And so one, 27 times.
- Now, because of this competitors participation, there are 27 new transactions staking on the network, each capable of minting a block when they become mature in 3 days. As a bonus, the competitor has helped the value of the competitor's total coins because the block chain functions better because of these staking transactions.
One question is whether a competitor can create less work for himself by simply submitting 1440 transactions of 1 XST each all at once or spaced very close together. The answer is that such an approach will not work. We use a statistical measure called the mean squared difference (similar to statistical variance) to decide a winner. The application of this measure to the competition is described in a short whitepaper at https://www.dropbox.com/s/94a50tlpuuq8fl4/Competition.pdf. An example therein compares the results for two entries.
Here are the rules:
- The person at the end of each 24 hour period with the closest value to 1 new staking transaction per minute will be determined to be the winner. Yes, we're shooting for lots of PoS transactions! The winner will be selected using the mean squared difference as described here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/94a50tlpuuq8fl4/Competition.pdf
- A valid entry will have at least 12 transactions spaced at least one minute apart each.
- Contest will begin and will run for 72 hours (starting block # will be added after 10:00 AM GMT)
- Each day after 10:00 AM GMT the winner from the previous day will be determined (3 winners total)
- Each winner will receive 5,000 XST!!
- To enter you must post the link to your address in this thread at the end of each of the 3 days and say which day of the competition for which the entry applies (day 1, day 2, or day 3). (ex. http://explorer.argakiig.us/address/S8knUucS6iFwAt1S8BmRpiTykqQfRLcape)
- Each user account and address may win any number of days. (max 15,000 XST)
- Please note that the spacing will be factored in. It is not enough just to make all of the transactions at the beginning of the 24 hour period. They must be well spaced, with a 1 minute target.
- Payout will be to the staking address.
Link to reward pot: http://explorer.argakiig.us/address/Rxa5fxyqPXLaKhQeF4UHz5BmfBhEhrWh4L
Please post any questions about the competition in the thread!
There were no valid entries in the previous try for this competition, so you could win a day with as few as 12 transactions!

For example (Ubu 14.4; Mint 17): apt install libboost-all-dev qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libqtwebkit-dev libssl-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev libprotobuf-dev libqt5gui5 qttools5-dev qttools5-dev-tools libqrencode-dev libevent-dev libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8++-dev git clone https://github.com/rat4/blackcoin.gitcd blackcoin QT5 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/bin/qmake or QT4 qmake make That should work for BC, DRK, GUE, VRC, LTC. BTC is different, you have to read readme files. np
