Week 55: 18.6 BTCD have been paid to 689 unique BitcoinDark addresses for successfully staking blocks 1135836-1146607
Week 56: 15 BTCD have been paid to 681 unique BitcoinDark addresses for successfully staking blocks 1146608-1157379
I will be away for a month so no staker divs during this time. Do not panic, all dividend payments will be made for the staked blocks so keep staking in order to receive payment.

Seeing as how waves founder sasha is acting shady, and withdrawing lots of funds. Will bitcoindark serve as a replacement platform for these assets that could have gone on the waves platform? Is there a backup plan in the scenario that waves falls flat on its face?
Just a real question here given that people keep stealing monies here in crypto land.

I'm still looking to buy 10k chunks of BTCD
Only 45k for sale on orderbooks
Doesn't seem to be a lot of people selling?
Why not help the coin too by market buying (not all, but some)? Good for volume, price and exposure.

I don't want to push the exchange prices higher, then I screw myself for negotiation on the 10k chunk purchases. I still haven't had anyone offer to sell me any more than around 1k or so. Then just set a wall at the comfortable level for you. Sit and relax, someone will dump eventually.

There are a couple errors in the PAX FAQ on the BitcoinDark website. Is the BitcoinDark platform approved under my jurisdiction’s regulatory framework? We hope not, but this cannot be guaranteed. Please do your own research as the developers cannot be held responsible for any consequences arising from your use of this software.
I think you guys meant to say "we hope so", or something along those lines. "We hope not" has the opposite meaning of what I think you were trying to convey. Also, there should be a comma in the following sentence after "Please do your own research". I won't "grammar nazi" the other questions, but I thought I'd point this one out since it is a glaring issue which conveys the opposite of what I think the intended statement is.

I think it means exactly that, it's a joke about the fact the Btcd is "dark" and not interested in compliance with regulatory frameworks. Me too when I read it the first time I didn't get it.

Hello BTCD peeps, Is my synopsis of InstantDEX mostly agreeable? InstantDEX- Website: http://www.instantdex.org/- BCT Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=684090.0- Forum: http://forum.instantdex.org/- Communicates with other nodes on a peer-to-peer basis, agreeing trades in a fully decentralised manner. - Can access many different sources of liquidity, including: blockchain-based asset exchanges (such as the NXT AE, etc), centralized exchanges via API keys (such as Poloniex, Bittrex, etc), and the Nxt Multi-Gateway. - Each peer can provide their own API key information to connect to centralized exchanges to leverage any certain centralized exchange's liquidity - Connecting to centralized exchanges' APIs is optional. Some may want a fully peer to peer trading experience, and can thus choose not to utilize a centralized exchange's liquidity. Meanwhile, those that do want a fully peer to peer trading experience can choose not to add centralized exchanges' API keys. Weaknesses:- The purely peer to peer trades currently only exist in Nxt Asset/MultiGateway form. Therefore, you are still trading IOUs which are susceptible to hacks/theft/insolvency. - Integrates centralized exchanges. IMO, this goes against the whole point of DEXs. - You need to run NXT, BTCD, and a InstantDEX node at the same time for full functionality.

Recently acquired a new PC so thought I'd take the opportunity of installing the BTCD QT wallet on it - as it's an RAR file and given my OS is windows 10 (which doesn't recognise RAR files) I installed 7-zip. So far so good, I opened the wallet via the 7-zip console and the wallet started syncing ok and wallet back-up works but: * when I close my new wallet I get a 7-Zip message "cannot update file .... read only" * the only way I can open the wallet is via the 7-zip console - which isn't the case with the BTCD wallet on my original pc I'm not sure if either of the above is a problem. Thought I'd check on the forum 1st before transferring any BTCD to the new wallet (having 1st of course fully synced it) Thanks in advance for any help

You have to "extract" it first.
So when you open up the file, at the top there is a extract button, click on that.

MEGA cannot be trusted anymore. But that is a different story.
Personally i think the QT wallet needs to be downloaded from the bitcoindark domain itself with the MD5 hash code to confirm the download.
