I'll see if I can help you out with that.  So it's 5% per year, compounded.  So to figure out interest each month, divide 0.05 by 12.  Which gives you approximately .00416(repeating 6)% stake each month.  You then divide that number by 30 (average number of days in each month) to get your percentage of daily stake, so .00416 divided by 30 is 1.38 x 10^-4, or .000138

So, pretend you've got 1000 BTCD that have already matured and are staking, to get the stake on the first day you'd receive, multiply 1000 by the .000138, which is .138, so you'd earn .138BTCD just from stake that one day.

To get the next day's of staking, add the .138 to the 1000 you already had (since it compounds), and repeat the same calculation.

Sadly, this is why the scams keep perpetuating.
It was good of the person below to answer how compound interest works but it hits me that every man and his dog think they're going to get rich on the next bitcoin and you're not. It's not all about money anyhow. At least to me. Devs and bag holders are the ones who pump the coin and then it dies and people like this guy may believe the hype, invest 1btc he can't afford to lose, then when it's gone, he's gone and altcoin has lost new blood.
And plz, don't even bother saying I'm FUDing because I'll tell it how I see it and this is bullshit. No plans or dev even working on the feature the coin is named for. Dev promises not to dump premine? No dev has ever kept a promise on a clone coin. Ever.
