When do we get past this sideways/flat-price/miner-dump phase?

~2k blocks left until PoS!!!! Cheesy

....is it at this point? When does POW end?

Price rising now. Watch a pump incoming.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

After an allnighter I seem to have introduced a silly bug, so I think I will call it a day. Some news came out about a different project of mine. Its actually kind of historic as it is the first crypto asset ever to trade on a major exchange:

http://freenxt.org/james_announcement.php#

JLH is trading on Poloniex and I imagine I will trade for a few hours and then collapse. So dont freak out if you dont hear from me for a while.

Maybe at first when you connect your miners you will get some rejected share until the vardiff set a higher diff , the start diff is 128 and the max is 4096

The most important fact about rejected shares with such difficulty and HR is about geo-localization-latency: if i have my pool server in EU and two users submit the same share, the one nearest(in terms of ping) to the pool will submit his share successfully.

If you see rejected shares in a NOMP pool such pools.cryptoskills.com is just because of this reason (or cause wrong diff port selected). I have miners with 100% shares on my pool and they has not the highest HR. This means they are geolocated closer than other miners to our pool (and probably tuned their rig better, but this is a secondary cause).

Hope this explain a lot to all of you miners.

Thanks for your attention. Enjoy the last blocks of PoW!

I really think this coin can pass DRK.

There will be a few dumps during the travel and some panic selling, but this coin can get there 100%

We have way less coins in circulation!

For it to surpass DRK it would need better anon tech, like cryptonote, and even more features, maybe something like realtime decentralized exchange and sportsbook?

The pattern of BTCD reminds me exactly of what XC did, comes out of nowhere, gains some interest, dev is discovered to be highly respected and competent, and it maintains its price even through the constant mining and dumping, and then POS hits and BOOM shoots up to a $15-20 million market cap in just days. Granted it all came tumbling down but this was mostly due to the fud from the Dark camp. People bought XC not on what features it had at the time but just based off what they knew it COULD be with Dan Metcalfe on board. This could do the same thing, especially now with the JLH777hodl asset thrown into the mix too.

Thx gonna try it. I am on one of the others you mentioned above.... but they have not  paid out my block finder reward yet.
What's wrong with these pools that they don't pay you for finding a block when they use that as a "hook" to get you mining on their pool? I even emailed the pool operator with screen shots. 18 hrs later, no reply.

Should we continue mining after 20,160 PoW blocks or spread hashrates to other coins?
To all PPLNS pools, the 20,160 block should be rewarded to the finder to celebrate this potential coin.
Happy mining all!
