"Yobit pump alert software" Link in my signature!

Had 7700 BTCD stolen from my wallet on August 2nd. Wallet was encrypted was a very long password with letters and numbers. Turned out to be a keylogger virus from the "zipcoin" wallet. Basically the money is gone. That was the days I was wrecklessly downloading every coin I could find. I feel your pain, and a keylogger disguised as a wallet was very likley the culprit. There are some good "anti keylogger" software out there. I now use "key scrambler from QFX" . Its specifically supports wallet QT , and scrambles all keystrokes.

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

Can anyone help me get Bitcoindark-qt running on Ubuntu 14.10?

Here are the steps I have taken so far:

- go to github.com/laowais/bitcoindark

- click "Download ZIP" on right-hand side of page and save file "bitcoindark-master.zip" to a new flash drive

- purchase cheap laptop with cash from random store

- install Ubuntu 14.10 on new laptop

- insert flash drive with "bitcoindark-master.zip" into new Ubuntu laptop

- open terminal

- run command:

Quote
sudo apt-get install qt5-default qt5-qmake qtbase5-dev-tools qttools5-dev-tools \ build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev \ libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev \ libssl-dev libdb++-dev

- output:

Quote
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package qt5-default is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

E: Unable to locate package libdb++-dev
E: Couldn't find any package by regex 'libdb++-dev'

I am connected to the internet.  Anyone know how to locate these packages?

Would it be easier to use a different version of linux, other than Ubuntu?

$ sudo apt-get update

first bro

Ok I did this.  Looks like the list of errors is now shorter:

- Input:

Code:
apt-get install qt5-default qt5-qmake qtbase5-dev-tools qttools5-dev-tools \
    build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev \
    libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev \
    libssl-dev libdb++-dev

- Output:

Code:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package  build-essential
E: Unable to locate package  libboost-filesystem-dev
E: Unable to locate package libssl-dev

However, when I went to install each package individually, it appeared to work:

Input:

Code:
sudo apt-get install build-essential

Output:

Code:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
build-essential is already the newest version
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 124 not upgraded

Input:

Code:
sudo apt-get install libboost-filesystem-dev

Output:

Code:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
libboost-filesystem-dev is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 124 not upgraded.

Input:

Code:
sudo apt-get install libssl-dev

Output:

Code:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
libssl-dev is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 124 not upgraded.

This big input still says it is unable to find packages though.

Input:

Code:
apt-get install qt5-default qt5-qmake qtbase5-dev-tools qttools5-dev-tools \
    build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev \
    libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev \
    libssl-dev libdb++-dev

Output:

Code:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package  build-essential
E: Unable to locate package  libboost-filesystem-dev
E: Unable to locate package libssl-dev

I guess maybe I have all the packages I need?  What is the next step?

Those who bought BTCD at 600k are now slowly changing their tactic: sell at little loss, before it really dumps..

I wonder what should you do to get all those noobs to buy this coins

It pains me to say it, but good call mate!  How low will we go Huh

Someone is pushing the price down, don't be so stupid to sell now. This is what they want. 9 BTC wall at Bittrex what a joke. I think he still don't know that Bittrex might default pretty soon.

Agreed, selling now would be just plain silly Sad.  I hadn't heard Bittrex might default, is it really true Huh

Would be happy if this is the explanation. But I do not think so. I think there is lack of buying interest due to a missing katalysator that would drive the price higher. Hope some release will help.

yup, lack of buying interest and its been dying now for months. This is not FUD, iM just saying it like I see it. It also looks
like the heydays of alt coins are over which is not good for any coin let alone one this expensive. There just so little liquidity around

Are you guys thinking in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years?

Think in terms of value over the medium term, otherwise you're missing the point of what jl777 is doing, and you'll miss the chance of a lifetime.

Time to buy more!!

Trading, pump and dump etc- this like living in a bubble and everything is circulating about itself. Investors exictement about all these new tech and features is cooling down.I think what we really need to see is some kind of Main Street adoption or RL use. This is a run for user base and RL usage -> no time frame. every day competition and revaluation.

I don't think this is an alien concept to the BTCD/SuperNET community...

Of course not,- might be just saying the obvious. At least for those who are looking at the bigger picture. Netherless, I think we need some kind of selling kit.
Hardware:
Signs (BTCD accepted)
Point of sale-Terminal
Software:
Coinomat (?) something to cash out

and sales teams.

There was an ambitous seller at NXT. He set up a cafe were people were able to pay with nxt. ok. never came to real life.
But I think this should be the right way not the next possibilty to trade this against that.

Plummeting like this was going to happen anyway as there is no buying support while there's no intriguing news, at least to potential buyers, for BTCD.
Good new is current buying support is so thin that all big coin holders won't get out unless they decide to give up money by selling into this thin wall.
Those who become interested in SuperNET will buy UNITY or NXT, not BTCD at this moment.
I assume this trend will persist until there's some really good news for BTCD.
Personally, I will hold onto this to see how SuperNET will turn out, but won't expect trend reversal in favor of me.

theres always a dump before a pump, its all orchestrated, whales buying there last chunks before they flip the bots to rise accross all exchanges. there is no reason for this to dump right now, nothing has changed fundamentally , infact were closer than ever to releasing the tech.

I heard Supernet was due to get going soon so I decided to get a few BTCD as they are needed to get around in Supernet. Very high tech stuff so lots of high expectations. I've been downloading and using Qt wallets for a year now. Imagine how pleased I am to have downloaded BTCD wallet for Windows and find that the stupid thing won't even connect. Really advanced stuff. Yes, I have switched it off and on again several times. I have rebooted. Now tell me how anyone expects mass adoption if newbies have to struggle with a wallet like this one? By this stage a Qt wallet should simply work regardless. After all, my other 12 Qt wallets work fine. And people are talking about price!!  Angry

Sorry about your difficulties. Check the OP for a list of updated nodes for your conf file. Many people report having to wait several hours to get their 1st connections.

Word is new wallet out soon with installer that should help some of these issues.
