I like the name Napoleon Coin. Small but powerful. Wink
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Thanks for the poll bitfreak!

'MiniCrypt' would also by a nice name which would still leave some connection to 'Cryptonite' and is more suggestive of the mini-blockchain technology.

Are you sure the worker is spelled correctly? normally worker uses the following format: "yourpoolusername.customtext"

ccminer.exe -a m7 -o stratum+tcp://mine1.xcn.nonce-pool.com:4035 -u 4 -p x

Is today's price spike a result of this renaming controversy, or this?

I will release pool XCN AMD miner (for Windows x64) in 1-2 days, I've almost finished it.
Unfortunately, solo miner has some problems since this coin has a strange limitation related to block reward and coin devs don't respond about possible solutions, so I have to postpone it.

In less than 48 hours, the days of cheap and easy MiniCoins will be a thing of the past!

I think none. The rise has been happening before all the naming controversy and AMD miner was announced.

Name change poll has been closed:

Ok I'm going to stop this poll early because I've decided what's going to happen. At this rate Cryptonite is going to win by a large margin, and a large group of people will still be unhappy. Since I now own cryptoncoin.com I offer this solution: the official shortened version of the name is now Crypton, so those people who think it's confusing to call it Cryptonite can now refer to it as Crypton or even CryptonCoin if they like. I think this is the best solution we're going to get, I can't do much more to please everyone.

I just don't understand the branding behind some of these crypto names. htmlcoin, really? I know it was a scam, but who really thinks that something called htmlcoin would become a widely accepted thing? Personally, I'd go with Minicoin.

I think this is a pretty fair solution!

I think Monero (XMR) is very interesting.

Morning all,

As a Doge miner a I appreciate how a long blockchain can get you down! so I love this idea.

I saw al lot of - frankly - screaming and shouting about a 32bit windows binary early on in this thread.

Did anything come to fruition? - If not I am willing to have  a crack at compiling it.

Google has not been my friend so far but with other coins offering a 32bit wallet (BTC espwcially) - this must be acheivable?

I see in the github repo there is a 'buildwin32' script - does that hold the key?

I'm off to do more googling!
