Looking for someone with wallet development experience 

I really need some help with my wallet. I had a previous error that Nite69 compiled a wallet for me to fix ,


Randomly i open up my wallet to stake my coins the other day and i get the following

MsCollec told me to backup the .dat and .conf and try a brand new wallet installation. Now i get "wallet.dat corrupt salvage failed" 


THIS IS NOT A FUD POST! I just have been sending lots of pm's with very slow replys and have not been able to access my coins for going on almost a week. Anyone who can help it would be GREATLY appriciated! This is beyond my comfort zone of troubleshooting.

I am going to see if I can get more screenshots and maybe a video demo up of the exchange. In the mean time, I have received a response from the lead dev that they're working on getting deposits added and functional. This seems like it is the last thing that needs to be done and tested. Will provide further updates soon.

Those who have PM'd me, I will be checking and responding to each PM accordingly. Remember, I am just one guy handling all this PR stuff now. If you have questions you want to ask the devs, feel free to let me know what they are and I will have them asked accordingly.

Logged on to the exchange on Tor and took some more screenshots. Looks like a lot of the functionality has been added. Registration and confirmation works as well. Again, the onion address has been censored until public release as I assume the devs do not want users registering on the exchange until it is ready for public launch.

It looks like real progress have been made and based on what I can see (my assumptions) the exchange should be ready soon, although I haven't received a new launch date yet. The devs have decided to no longer use launch dates but instead will provide us with progression updates for future releases.

I have also added these screenshots in the OP.

I do have to apologize that I could not find a way to record a video without exposing the .onion address, hopefully these screenshots will suffice for now. Real development is going on and I can see it, it is just a matter of delivery now.

Thanks for the screenshots. What i dont understand is: why would this Exchange boost the price? Any coin can be used there? I am probably missing something here?

It's all speculation. The devs, MsCollec, and myself have never endorsed the fact that this will be something that is going to make the price skyrocket. It is just another feature behind the Vootcoin project. But this is crypto, it is all about speculation and we hold no control over speculations of announcements and newly launched features.

I do believe that an anon exchange would provide a good baseline for Voot to develop it into a more robust online marketplace in the future with real p2p anon using Tor. Whether you think the price will go up or down is all personal opinion.

I believe MsCollec is still lead dev for Vootcoin as he did not show any indication that he will be leaving, if he does leave he will of course let us know. However,  a lot of the work is being outsourced to SMOKE team which consists of a few members. The lead dev of SMOKE is working on the anon exchange while the other team members are working on the Vootcloud and Vootmarket features. So right now it is the SMOKE team who are working on the next 3 big features in this order: Anon Exchange (to be launched soon), Vootmarket, and VootCloud.

Please take the screenshots with a grain of salt as it is not 100% finalized yet. A lot of these things you see in the screenshot may only be temporary placeholders as they proceed to configure the rest of the front-end.

That is what makes it a great idea. If that is not the case anymore, we should know.

I believe that is still the idea behind the anon exchange, no indication of any other changes. What is important right now is to get the exchanged launched in an functional manner. We will get further clarification from MsCollec once it has been launched sucessfully.

No, I don't believe I've made such an announcement. To my knowledge, MsCollec is still with Vootcoin as project lead/dev. But he has outsourced a lot of the work to other devs such as SMOKE. Previously, he outsourced Nite69 to help implement NiteSend anon transactions to Vootcoin which was a success.

make sure your configure files is okay too.

simple test. rename your vootcoin.conf into something like vootcoin.con 

then lunch wallet. if it load up then you probably have a typo in config.

sometimes the addnodes ie: 98.2.3.4.3:port     instead of addnode=98.2.3.4.3:port

Just bought a few, this is really a cheap price to pay for #VOOT if basically nothing changed.

Yes, a huge mistake and misunderstanding. Very unfortunate the way things turned out.

Believe me, selling at this price will be stupid. I had a chat with MsCollec, and i can only say one thing, trade smart and add coins when they are low. For example i took advantage of the KEY drop a few hours ago and sold now at double the price. Not saying that VOOT will trade double the price from now, but just saying by cheap.

Lol I think we both jumped out of key at the same time. 

+1 fundamentals are all the same, it's just been delayed a bit. 

Personally I think voot market will be a game changer if it's done right.
