I got in about 150 just after MS took over. It was a bit lower than that though.

That would be about right.

I hope you are not going with this to such conclusion:
"MsCollec took over Voot at 100 satoshi, now coin is worth 500 satoshi, so it is a success and not failure", because that's not the issue here.

Me myself got in at 500 satoshi, so I am happy.
But many people were tempted by MsCollec who promised many things, delivered only on some of them and at the night before supposed delivery of first of the other things just run away. That's the problem here. It's like being helpful at the beginning just to scam later.

I guess noone is having problems with price fluctuations - this is crypto.
But cheating like MsCollec did is not right. That guy is damned in the crypto community unless proven innocent. And everything he touches from now on will burn. Unless in some magical way he manages to fix what he did to Voot and Sync (the latter as a collateral damage, because he didn't actually harm that coin directly).

You pretty much summed it up.

LTCagt, I don't know if you are new to Voot or are just trying to understant what happened, but bottomline is:
MsCollec gave some promises and did not deliver on them. He hired some devs, then pumped the price and run away, tweeting that he is finished with the coin, which made the price collapse. Now because of that there is not much trust in the community. Theoretically everything should be fine, since the innovations: Voot Exchange, VootCloud and Voot Market were paid for and will be delivered by Smoke Team.

Unfortunatelly, people do not trust MsCollec anymore and ara afraid to invest more in the coin but they also believe in the innovations and are afraid to sell Voot because they still believe in it (with some exceptions). What this coin needs is:
- better communication between devs and community
- buy support (constant buy walls)
- promotion of the new featueres when the appear

I agree that probably most people jumped in at 1700 satoshi (althought probably lot of them jumped at 2000+ and some of them at 1000+).
I think that ranting will continue till the price goes back to at least 1500 satoshi and promised features will get delivered (which is 100% sure but there is too much panic in the community right now and noone trusts MsCollec).

My question is why don't We all as a community find a new developer? MsCollec has always been about Sync and Voot was a side project. We need to find a Developer that would take on Voot as their number one project.

MsCollec just hired people to develop the coin.
Anyone of us could do this.

I could help and take over, however I don't feel that I am the best person since I am not too knowledgeable when it comes to technical details. However as a mayor holder I could help the new dev team.

See I like the idea of having someone who's interests are inline with the interests of the holders of the coin. I think the whales of this coin need to step up and make this happen. We should have a group of the major holders helping to make some of the important decisions on this coin.

I feel the same way. Everything happened when I went on vacation... and after thoroughly reading over the dramas, I feel cheated by dev and team, especially the fact that there was some insider trading involved. I really don't want to dump this coin on the exchange and cause a panic since I hold quite a bit of it. Is there any resassurance? As of right now, I don't know what to believe.

This thread is full with kids. MsCollec ran away  Huh

I didn't think you ran away. It just seems like you are very busy with other commitments which is fine, but as the lead developer how do you feel about this situation right now ? I would like to know what you think of how we bring this coin back to where it belongs.
