How can you tell? EDIT: Mr Spread's latest commit was on 24th January. There have been 2 test updates since then... testnet needed to grow to 1440 MN's, at which point the "voting off" starts for the lowest MN's, a process that's just getting started... |

There have been 2 test updates since then... testnet needed to grow to 1440 MN's, at which point the "voting off" starts for the lowest MN's, a process that's just getting started... I understand. Thanks. You'd think the test updates would go on the forums though. EDIT: I realise you mean those updates were earlier than the last three or four days... |

All tests have been announced and released in this thread... http://spreadcointalk.org/index.php?topic=93.390Summarizing the test progress: 1) initial test release Feb 8 2) first update on Feb 11th 3) Mac release on Feb 14th (fairly recent in my opinion) 4) 1440 elected MN's only since Feb 18 (or 19) Issues that were discussed include faster voting by changing the blocks, perhaps not an easy change? I don't know for sure, just applying logic to the process... |

We have given Mr. Spread enormous amounts of feedback during the test round 2.
I am sure it gave him a lot of ideas how he can improve and adjust the code for the next test round 3.
So relax and stay tuned.
We will hear from him shortly.

Once we have a maximum of 1440 elected MNs, and a new MN (the 1441st) successully gets elected, it means that now we have 1441 elected MNs, but now someone has to go. Which one? The weakest link (the MN with the fewest SPR in it, or the MN at the rank 1440) gets kicked out. There can only be 1440 elected MNs, and if you are willing to invest more in your MN then it will get a higher ranking position than a lower MN. |
