Bitcoin price is in the free-ball ,it could go well below $200.
That means SPR is cheaper as well if the price stay at 45K satoshi.

Really?? How do you figure that out? I am very happy to hear that mining this coin costs more than 50k a coin which means that the price will steadily continue to grow then Smiley I also like but dislike how miners aren't willing to sell their SpreadCoins cheap Smiley I only dislike it because I have to buy mine right now but I mean if the price to mine them keeps going up like this then I can say that we are in for a treat for sure Wink But I would like to know how people figure that stuff out?  Also that is a sick animation up a couple posts!! Super SPREVOLUTION SICK!!

Two reasons for  miming SPR costs grow higher:
1. BTC price has dropped sharply over the past week.
2. the SPR net hashrate has rose by 30% as well as the diff.

Here is the animation I have been working on for 2 days. All up it probably took 7 hours because it was my first time modelling everything. But in the future it should be quicker.

Please leave suggestions for more animations.
Please donate a few Spreadcoins if you like the animation I made and can spare a few. Enjoy!

Awesome. Not bad for a first one.

An Idea I had, but never had the time to do in blender goes something like this:
Create a tower of 500 stacked blocks, maybe 4x4 coins per story, making the tower 30 stories high or something. Put coin symbols on those blocks.
So this tower represents all the cryptocoins.

Now shoot a Spreadcoin cannon ball at the tower and make it collapse. (with some nice blender physics)

You can do it!

PS: probably won't work as GIF, but why not just render a video and put it on youtube?
Spreadcoin presence on youtube is ZERO at the moment... this will have to change.

Okay, managed to get the miner running now on my home PC. Do I need the wallet software on my mining rig to be running as well? Thanks for the help btw, it is massively appreciated.

I accessed my mining rig via remote desktop and when I attempted to mine I got this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/iigwqwj0ipkd27n/Screenshot%202015-01-14%2000.09.15.png?dl=0

Update your video card drivers to at least v14.9 son.

Ah. Anybody got a .bin for a 280x I can use then? Tongue

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24462711/spreadcoinTahitiglg2tc8192w256l4.bin

Thanks for that, but it still gave me the same problem. I'll attempt to install 14.9 drivers when I get a chance.

Try this - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=715435.msg10090582#msg10090582

BTW - i'm still looking for bin files for r9 290, please someone upload them, thanks !

I like the gif and can appreciate the time spent creating it.

I don't think that it is a valid comparison though.  Dark happened a year ago and is relevant in that it provided a stepping stone for innovation.  I like to think that the altcoin community is a huge R&D community...it is.  Dark has a place within that mindset and such a dismissal might be disingenuous towards acknowledging what this community ultimately should be about...which is collaboration.

That said, I did say stepping stone.  I suppose if we view the simultaneous explosions as distribution then we have a potentially accurate visual analogy.  It looks cool regardless....but maybe an idea would be to use an evolution theme...?

It has nothing to do with the image hoster, but with BCT itself.
They use a proxy to disable pictures who have a size bigger than 2 Megs (or too large dimensions) etc..

Here's the thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=388403.0

They do this, so that for example a mobile user, who visits this thread, doesn't need to download megabytes of pictures just to read the thread.
So BCT blocks pictures that are too large, so as to make the thread more readable.

....then we have a potentially accurate visual analogy.

An accurate visual analogy, would be to have spreadcoin stand on the shoulders of darkcoin which stands on the shoulders of bitcoin.

Open source means we can all profit from eachother.

I wouldn't argue that...would be a longer gif though...
