Honestly, I could care more about BiPolarBob and this thread as a whole, but that seems very broken to me. Going to report it in Meta.

He's not banned (AFAIK), I just don't trust him personally. Why everyone else here seems to think it's their business whom I decide to trust, I don't know...
I just think you gave him that negative rating because you didn't get one of the awesome deals. If you don't trust anyone, it doesn't mean you have to give him a negative rating. Just avoid him. If he scams you then that leaving the rating would be understandable. He gave him the negative rating because he does not trust him. Anyone can give anyone positive trust if for whatever reason you trust the person, and you can give negative trust if you do not trust them. There was also a link the luke-jr posted of a transcript of an IRC chat when he was offered to let luke-jr double a .01 payment if luke would send .01 to bipolarbob first, luke declined because this is something that a scammer would do even if he has come through prior times.

I'm just going to be flat out honest with you guys. Bob's sent me probably more than 1 BTC in the past, for no reason; sometimess he'd randomly message me offering me BTC, or I'd send him a message asking him for a few mBTC for whatever reason, he hasn't sent me anything in a few weeks, but he's sent me plenty in the past. The most he's ever sent me at a time was .2 and he's sent me BTC quite a few times, so I'm sure it's been more than 1. So unless you guys are going to say/think that Bob is a wallet hacker too, you should just disregard every negative thought you have about him because he really is just a nice, generous guyHe completely deserves the positive trust I gave him, as well as the ton of it a bunch of other users did too.

LOL, you just contradicted yourself. If you got 1 LTC (scamcoin) free, then he's doing altcoin giveaways...

He may very well be generous to people, but it is still suspicious. He could very well be setting people up for a very big scam, or he could be prepping people to fall for a scam from other accounts. It was said near the beginning of the thread that people who are bipolar and going through a manic attack do not realize they are going through mania and will make decisions that are bad but they think are good. BiPolarBob is openly admitting that what he is doing is a bad deal for him. At the very least he is lying about being bipolar.

Some people just don't get it... How could he scam anyone? If you see a guy asking for a loan that is known to give out sums of money for no reason, would you loan him the funds? If he asks for money it would be a huge red flag. Until then, he's been giving out stacks of BTC for free. Sounds real scammy to me

He pretty much does not outright give things away for free. If for example he would come back when he is unbaned and tell people to send him 1 BTC and he will return 3 BTC, how many people do you think will take up his offer? Probably a lot. What do you think would happen when they take up the offer? I am guessing nothing....as in theywill not get anything in return

He always asks for some kind of small payment from you first. He pretty much does not outright give things away for free. Not true. He often send stuff before asking the payment (check his trust rating for proof). I always got my stuff before he ask me to pay me (if he asked at all). If for example he would come back when he is unbaned and tell people to send him 1 BTC and he will return 3 BTC, how many people do you think will take up his offer? Probably a lot. What do you think would happen when they take up the offer? I am guessing nothing....as in theywill not get anything in eturn The doubling service was a one time thing for friends only. It just got interpreted the wrong way. It was meant to be a joke to give people some free BTC, but it backfired (as you can see). To be clear: This is my interpretation of things he said to me in private.

I'm hoping BPB will come back. I don't think he deserved all this drama. He seemed to be a nice guy and contributed to the community making people happy with his gifts. From my perspective, it's obvious that he didn't try to cause any harm and it's pretty sad that some were so cynical. I believe that it would be nice to have him around again. Mostly because he was nice.

The only people who would do that would be newbies but they don't have that much BTC. In my previous experiences, I didn't send him anything to double or do anything.

Talking from your ass for both of these statements? He has given plenty of things free without asking for btc in return. For the one or two instance where I bought something, he gave it to me first before giving me a btc address to send.
