There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Korecoin for sure....

Two technologies that cryptoworld haven't seen before...

- The new AnonVoip, permits to Use the KORE Address to Address Feature providing you the Security and Confidence of 100% ANONYMOUS Never Traceable Phone calls. The next versions will add ANON KORE Address to Address for Video Calls and the Addition of Traditional Phone Number to Phone Number Chat and Calling.

- The new PoBa (Proof of burn anonymous) it's the REAL solution to give a REAL anonymity to the users, and all ideas that there are around the forum are only words.
It's PoB based. PoB means Proof of Burn, it working when people send coins to a special address, those coins going to be destroy, and user take back a block with the same amount plus a interest. Usually PoB works with the same address that have sent.
A user that want to hide the sources of his coins, simple send coins to a special Kore address, select the address where he want to receive the new coins, and wait a random number of blocks. After this he'll receive the same coins burned, like he has mined it. New address, generation, no history of this coins, totaly anonymous.

The old coins are going to be stored in the special and nonexpendable address and subtracted from the total coins.

The new PoBa guarantees an unprecedented anonymity never seen before.

This is a INCREDIBLE project.

For the first time there is a new form of economy and communication built together, of global proportions, all completely anonymous.

Check out AppleByte, launched in NYC on May 1, 2014 and focused on building a real user community

AppleByte (ABY) on Poloniex one month chart reflects our progress:

Cloakcoin  Shocked

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

Cryptonite (XCN). It solves a problem which will eventually hit any other coin which becomes popular, blockcain bloat. The fact that anyone can easily be a full node will help ensure better decentralization and make it more likely that individuals will continue to mine. It also incorporates fast block times and an innovative way to allow secure 0 confirmation transactions.

If people are cheering on a coin which has no technical improvement, then you can be sure they're just looking to dump as soon as the price goes up.

It'd be nice for someone to make a sticky thread listing current know GOOD coins, know SCAM coins (but maybe not even cause the list would be too long) and then maybe a frequently updated list of coins that are being scanned if scams or not!  It'd be a good list to choose from for GOOD 2015 picks...vs the crap now.

I think Novacoin will do good longerterm. It's been on $25 last year, now just below $1.

Are you still making your maths in $?  Wink BTC rules!!  Wink Wink

KoreCoin : Calls from wallet to wallet (already working). Good reason for mass adoption.

NEM - 5 talented core devs, 5 more people on the business end, new code, new POI, beta going through a long open public beta. Beautiful open-source client pre-launch. Cold wallets, paper wallets or create account by seed (the best of everything in one).  Lots of reflection on Bitocin, NXT and other crypto here built from the ground up reenvisioning what the future needs.

NXT - the original true PoS and the only in a year that has managed to launch, go open source, and continue to grow. It's actually a lot more difficult than the devs of other coins think. Soooo many have tried to recreate NXT and just flopped miserably.

Storj/Maidsafe - one of the first great platforms to expand on decentralization introduced in Bitcoin. What the bitcoin experiment is to money, Storj/Maidsafe is to data storage, maybe even someday websites.

Counterparty - took up where mastercoin flopped and is looking to expand more.

Unnamed Samsung/IBM Ethereum like block chain. They want to use blockchain tech for lots and lots of functions, not just money.

Blockstream - looking to put side chains into the main Bitcoin chain. Could be revolutionary.

The last two don't actually have ways to invest (yet) but might someday so I included them. I might have included Ethereum or Emunie but they already had fundraiser and are in development and so there isn't a chance to invest in them as there isn't a market to buy or sell.

Darkwallet - not a coin and no way to invest that I know. Is in open beta and allows for anon transactions on the bitcoin blockchain. Makes the rush of 100 anon coin alt coins pointless. When combined with OpenBazzar or the new NXT free market coming this month makes a healthy competitor for the now closed down Silk Roads. The reason is that NXT and OpenBazzar are open source and decentralized so nowhere to shut down.

You bet I am.

I cannot understand why.

You just need to know if the altcoin is gonna be better than btc. If not, it has no sense to invest in that altcoin

This is very shortsighted. Sometimes bitcoin and altcoins are all in bearmarkets, like this year and US dollar is stronger. I'm not making that fiatplay much but it's good to have the full picture. Ignoring the USD/EUR/JPY etc. is a loss of information. You might as well involve commodity prices like gold and silver since they are paired with crypto's on some markets.

Ethereum at this time has raised 23,804.11715496 BTC!

I have never seen anything like it. Something big is going to happen.

Not sure if good or bad but ETH going to rock the cryptoworld one way or another.

It will shatter the dreams of the investors. Haha

Like most alts over the last 6 months

+1 to that Huh 1000's of coins to date, altcoins are coming out of the woodwork & not in a good way either!
Would be nice to see all these Dev's work together on just a few coins, not launch several new coins a day just to dump & profit.

Again, my theory is that there are not much devs. Most coins are bought from the few people that copy paste those coins and make small changes.
Other coins have devs but they drop those coins every 4 weeks to move to other coins. Rinse and repeat.

There are good devs, but they mostly don't care for money, so they don't offer investment opportunities.

Also there are greedy businessmen like Ethereum and Maidsafe that were backed by VC/ SiliconValley and need to raise money for those guys.

Would really like to see all this copy & pasting coins get blocked some how, there should be some kind of rule as to who can launch coins. Rules are just broken anyway, but would be nice to have some kind of order in the 100's of coins a month. Is it ever going to stop, maybe we will just have a never ending launch of coins & by the end of 2015 = 100,000+ coins or more? It's nice to have a new coin from time to time, but the way it's going now, something big has to happen!

Take a look at CoinShield, trying to put an end to garbage/scam coins.
