So, because there was a lot of confusion around wether you needed 1 or 2 bursts to start mining or using a wallet, I decided to re-upload my 'how to start with burst' video. I made some quick on-screen adjustments, mainly showing warnings that what the voice-over says isnt entirely true Tongue

Anyhow, here it is:
How to get started with burst - Mining and running a wallet
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_DNllF-9NY

If you were kind enough to share the previous version anywhere on the web, please note that the link has changed! If you could update the link, that would be great! Thanks!

hey everybody, i know my issue has nothing to do with burst, but maybe somebody made the same mistake and is able to help me

when depositing burst to bittrex you have to include a message, otherwise they cant credit you and they will have to manually do it after sending a ticket to the support

so this is exactly what i have done and im waiting for 2 weeks now for a reply to my ticket...

im a little worried that my burstcoins are now lost...

anyone ever made the same mistake and was bittrex able to recover the coins?

I sent some burst from polo to bittrex last night and didn't transfer obviously. I went to my Withdrawals and Deposits history and canceled the transaction. See if you can do that.

You cant send burst straight from polo to bittrex, as you have to include the message. Polo doesnt provide that option. You have got to run it through your own wallet/online wallet first.

transaction has passed, your burst was added to BITTREX wallet. So your old exchange can't help here
as regarding to bittrex  support - you was warned message is obligatory, but decided to send anyway. Why do you complain now?

for future - I've used couple of times https://wallet.burst.cryptoguru.org:8125/index.html in such situation, works well for me

First i didnt send from another exchange but from android wallet.
Second i didnt complain at all in my post.
I know it was my own mistake, but bittrex says in the support guide that they can transfer the coins manually.
Im just concerned because i didnt get a reply to my ticket for 2 weeks now...

I was just asking if someone had the same problem and bittrex was able to solve it...

I have opened a thread to encourage more discussion about it.

Burst weekly report! The future is bright!

Why dont you drop by over there so we can discuss everything the PoCC is up to. The good, the bad and whats in store for the future of Burst.

If you are an active member of /r/burstcoin, please ask some of them to post their thoughts on the thread too. Ty.

There are Burst Faucets available to activate your account. Look for them at the side bar in /r/burstcoin. I know its a pain in the ass but after the Dymaxion upgrade, that will change. This barrier of entry will be fixed and gone.

Be sure to upgrade your wallets to Burst 1.3.6cg and forward port 8123 for faster Dymaxion activation and adoption.

Who has an opinion on BURST vs STORJ vs SIA

umm... SIA and STORJ compete, I think BURST will not compete with either.

Because there is no cloud system to lend storage to others by BURST.
In addition, BURST is generated only by PoC, but SIA is PoW.

I'm a former moderator of Bitcointalk Japanere borad.
Decred is a true community governance cryptocurrency.

what PoC can compete with BURST?

STORJ has some bad pay news on the web saying it is inaccurate. Can anyone attest otherwise? Who can report on their success with BURST compared to SIA or STORJ? Im asking since they all revolve around utilizing HDD space.

SIA and STORJ are different from BURST in every aspect.

SIA, STORJ: You give HDD space and bandwidth and you work as a small unit from a cloud storage provider.
BURST: You use your HDD space to secure a transaction.

what PoC can compete with BURST?
None as for the moment there are no other active POC projects. And that is the biggest problem - you can't switch to earn more as with GPUS/Asics
