Official Burst SW update released: https://github.com/burst-team/burstcoin/releases/tag/1.2.9

Hello from İstanbul,

guys, I tried this wallet (2 messages above), looked like just working fine at the beginning. But at block 1293 its stuck.
And the DB is getting large at 2 GB now. so I closed the app. I think someone just re did the Message Attack to this chain.

Could not figure out a way to run Burst. If Burst-team fails.. I do not want to continue with BurstNation.

I can say I'm a complete Burst miner. I'am /was mining Burst beginning from mid 2016.

I feel responsible to my followers here in Turkey. I have a forum site baybil.net and slack group with 360 members. They have started buying hard drives, I have plotted lots of disks for them and myself.
I'm lucky that at the beginning I told them to buy GPU's and mine ETH, Burst is Risky. Some who have money to through to streets did not listen to me and bought disks.

Now, as I see Exchanges will not last saying "Maintenance" for Burst and they will say "Burst" in the list of delisted currencies soon.
in addition to that, BurstNation Wallets issuse, feels me like one more shit on BurstNation Site.

I think Burst has to start from Scratch with new developers, new project. If this happens tell me first. I will mine. Smiley

in 2017 I have lost tons of time and money by Burst and I have nothing to say to my followers..:/

burstcoin is flawed. and hacked.

Someone is caching the passwords from wallets hosted by burstnation.

I tested two accounts only logged on to them there.

both of them got funds removed, and more to that, the second one got assets transfered.

Whoever owns this: BURST-5BGX-C7EA-A6ET-BAQCD is a thief

currently has over a million in burst and probably every asset there is.

DUMP YOUR COINS AND RUN AWAY. BURST NEEDS TO BE REBUILT FROM GROUND UP!!!

ITS SIMPLY NOT SAFE!!!

Do not confuse dishonest practices by certain elements of the community to be an indication that it is a flaw within BURST.

Join Burst discord and be at the forefront of the discussion - much faster info than here.

Yes it is true, someone is stealing from burstnation - do not use BN wallets, also do not visit BN site if you got a local wallet running as there is indication that the site is infected.

Can anybody tell me if one should use Burstcoin-fuseburst-1.2.8-v4 or the 1.2.9b wallet at the moment? I want to start mining, but cant get past downloading blockchain. If I will successfully download blockchain in beta 1.2.9b, can I copy it's file to the 1.2.8-v4?
I can not condone a client that can moderate the network which 1.2.8-v4 seems to be doing. It has blacklist setttings. Even if the intentions are good that client should never have reached the public view. Dawallet has stated that we no longer should be using 1.2.9b since it has served its purpose. I sugest you go with muhatzgs version 1.2.8mu that can be found compiled here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7C2w7UN4dvRRGhadUdmN3QxV00/view?usp=sharing
His sourcecoude is available here: https://github.com/muhatzg/burstcoin/releases/tag/1.2.8mu

Heh, I guess it is OK to fork an entire chain to fix the DAO, but it is not OK to blacklist a malicious actor on the network. Who would've figured Smiley

Pardon my sarcasm but here is no substantial difference between these two actions.
I am aware that it is against some people's beliefs on what a decentralized network should be, but in this case I do not think another option existed. Especially in such a short term.

In my opinion a blacklist does not solve the issue. Attacker can change wallet and continue (which we already have seen). maybe the attacker makes 300 wallets with 1000burst each instead. a blacklist in this case only opens up for abuse. Mu wallet does not fork the chain only discards unconfimed transactions similar to dawallets 1.2.9b.

No, blacklist does not solve the issue permanently. However, since messaging is a built in function of the wallet - there is no simple permanent "fix", only compromises.

The Alias of that wallet address is "H"
Dont think it takes a genius to point to haitch

Have you been to burstnation lately?
Haitch is banned there. Like most of us. For telling the truth to people that are sensitive about it.

Notice: Before you do anything, sync your clock. Burst uses your computer clock's time, and having the time off too much could cause you to reject legit blocks, or miss out on blocks you could have mined. On linux "sudo ntpd -gq", on windows go to change date/time, and go to internet time and tell it to sync with a time server. |

Maybe it's your bad English ("pleas" gave you away), but if you read "H", the sound IS "Haitch".
Then again, it's SO obvious, it could be a trap.

Nah, IQ is really low around B-Nation, it's pretty evident.

Why the frell so many retards spell "ect" as an abbreviation of "Et Cetera"? "ETC", DAMMIT! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Et_cetera

That is easily calculated: 19215358/basetarget gives you the network size in Petabytes.
You need to average over day(s) to get a reasonalbe number, though. Otherwise you just
see the diff algo at work.
