Crowetic raised some issues in his goodbye message, which look important. Nobody tried to respond. Some claimed that he is a selfish fraud, but this is a very cheap response.
Do not forget that cryptocoins do NOT assume any sort of trust between parties. Being a selfish fraud is perfectly ok, and is rewarded with money on success.
If there is somebody who is really working on burst now, I would like to see a detailed response from them to the issues that crowetic raised, like lack of security and scalability of the network. I want to see an argument, not howls about that crowetic is bad.
These discussions have already been had in Burst forums.

True, I'd really like to see a discussion about those issues he mentioned. People tried to respond, but he deleted them. There is still developement in work, nothing has changed, no new issues have been found. The Update on the Core to the newer NXT Version is back in work after the short break. Everything continues as usual. Nothing to worry about. Everything is in work. Burst will be better then ever soon! Regards If everyone would stick to mining the same pools and not pool jump, plus not stop and start their software and things like that over and over again, then you won't run into these kind of problems.

That is a 300 post "dramatic" and "cancerous" thread about how Crowetic's did not behave the way it was expected. I did not find anything related to the issues of Burst. I do not recommend that reading to anyone. I took a look at those forums, and only found discussion about the limit of 256 transactions in one block. And that the burst community hopes that it will be resolved by NXT and they will be able to port it. However, it may not be possible because the NXT code may change license. What about the possible exploits of Burst mining system, which Crowetic mentioned? You say, he is not a dev, so some dev must understand it much better.

What about the possible exploits of Burst mining system, which Crowetic mentioned? You say, he is not a dev, so some dev must understand it much better. Quick response off the top of my head. 256 transactions per block is still a limit IIRC, changing that would require a fork. Nothing that can't be arranged though. BURST does have a limited potential for a NaaS attack, though I believe NaaS attacks as currently described are purely in the realm of the theoretical. In long discussions in the times past we concluded that there is only one somewhat realistic "exploit" possible. That exploit is generating nonces on the fly with a GPU (or a potential ASIC) instead of reading them off disk. In essence this is just straight up PoW mining. HOWEVER, it was concluded that the "exploit" is so inefficient that it is much better just to mine normally. ENTIRE POINT of PoC is the tradeoff, it was not conceived as a bullet-proof system against such "gaming" attempts, just something that is more efficient if mined normally. IMO, most likely explanation of the current network state is that Bitladen is back with all the joys that brings Naturally, if Bitladen or anyone else has new info to share I would be very interested in hearing it.

You described basic functionality Burst is meant to do (switching reward assignments).

The same is true for the solution if you stick to doing one thing repeatedly it will work itself out. Do not try to mine to your own private computer, do not try to do things in your own private computer besides setup your mining software and everything will be fine. Just plot and mine on your PC and handle everything else up online and you won't run into these problems.

I just want to say I currently sell 71TB, where each TB is 20 USD. i highly doubt thart you find any lower price. i also pay for escrow andshipmenif you buy all. In the end if you do run into these problems that's also the solution and will also help fix it. Be diligent and do the same thing over and over again and you will get the same results.

I think for price and popularity to pickup something needs to change with core development of the coin, it's currently not very organized and uncertain with the community being split but we'll see what happens.

I think Burst needs a rehaul to get rid of botnets and become more secure, hopefully the core dev team are working on a solution.
