hi I bought a 5 tb external hd and set it plotting last night I knew it wouldnt be a 2 minute job but didnt realise how long it would take, long story short I went to bed left it plotting woke up this morning to a rebooted computer (i dual boot win7/ubuntu) that rebooted in to ubuntu, but now I dont know if the hard drive plotted correctly! any tips, or should I just reformat and plot it again?
My 1TB with an overclocked 3770k@4.5GHz took 12hrs. I doubt 5TB got plotted. Go into the hdd, delete Burst folder and plot again. fix what ever made it reboot. cheers for that, that was actually my fault I had done a windows update earlier in the day and kept postponing the reboot for 4 hours, but you live and learn use gpu for plotting will do it in minute, plotting with cpu si a thing of the past you only waste time and profit, there is the java gpu plotter which work very good That really depends on your hardware. My i7-5930k can throw down 19k nonces/min no problem. That said, yes "typical" consumer-grade comps will be better off plotting with the gpu plotter. I'm not sure though, will it plot optimized plots like XPlotter does? Nope it will not optimize it like xplotter. xplotter is best in business. My 3770k@4.5GHz plots at 13k nounces/minute. @Vaccinus fucking idiot. Ya, if it's not gonna give you optimized plots, then gpu plotter really isn't worth your time (having to go back and run the optimizer tool on your un-optimized plot will take up to several days anyway, depending on plot size). Stick with Xplotter. Does BURST Wallet plotter optimize plots?

Unfortunately Adam is pumping this coin and he makes it sound like he is Burst. He is hooked up with the Awful Burst Casio and constantly pumps it with youtube videos. I can see that the Casino is dying now and it will be interesting to see how Adam and is cronies bail. I hope Burst will separate from this Burstnation garbage. They police that site and delete or harass anyone that does not share their ideas. If you want to see the real Adam Read this https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/a-spammer-sued-by-facebook-for-873m-is-seeking-redemption-in-bitcoinI don't want this associated with the Burst Community. We need to think of ways to make Burst Coins usable, I have been think of a few but don't know if they are any good. Right from the cow's own mouth! One of his replies to people voicing concerns and wishes for a unified Burst community! Stay away from BurstNation. All that megalomaniac wants is scam more people out of their money. I'm just glad I was able to dump most of his assets before the AE's recent tanking. Think I should close my account there? Stick to bitcointalk and team-burst.us? It's a simple as this... buy BURST, mine BURST, buy and trade GOOD verified assets. BURST still has great potential... there is just one person with a (loud) voice creating confusion at the moment. DO NOT invest in Adam's assets. Think of it this way, if there was a person you knew was unethical and involved in Bitcoin... and started a Bitcoin ETF or some kind of investment vehicle... you wouldn't give this unethical person money correct? It doesn't mean Bitcoin itself is a bad investment ....its about the character of the person. The same applies here.

Burst Nation is not official website ?
No, "official" is a self-appointed term over there. It wasn't even the first Burst forum created. That's over here: https://forums.burst-team.us/

Hi guys, i've been thinking during some days about mining burst, any advice? What hard disks or CPUs are you using? thanks in advance CPU is important only for creating the plot files. Hard drives... the largest you can get. Makes no importance. Try to get used ones. You'l find them at about $25/Tb

Hard drives... the largest you can get. Makes no importance. Try to get used ones. You'l find them at about $25/Tb That's right and depending on your CPU it could take hours, days or weeks plotting a drive which also depends on the size of drive you are plotting. Using GPU is a lot faster when it comes to plotting a drive so I recommend that if you have an old CPU. We are currently using an i5-4460 CPU and using 3 threads and getting 5500 nonces a minute which is slow when it comes to plotting a 5TB drive which takes around 6 to 7 days for us. We are going to upgrade to an i7 soon to help speed up the plotting process. The hard drives we have been using are seagate drives which have been doing well, 5TB drives are great value and so are the 8TB drives but we went with the 5TB drives because if we got an 8TB drive it would take a long time to plot with our current hardware but if your hardware is a lot better then I suggest 8TB drives as they are cheaper per TB.

That is why people should only stick to this site and ignore outside ones. There are too many smart folks here to call these fuckers out. Adam Garbage is a con man. He is a piece of shit that cannot make an honest dollar. And a racist.

I stepped out of the dev team in 2014, came back this year as a regular BURST fanatic to find that I can't plot with my GPU. I mean I can plot, but the speed is a shame. I get 13-14k nonces a minute. I get 12-13k out of a i7-3770k..

I was wondered what caused of price dropped constantly after successful spiked in the market. Just now came in thread to catch up some updates and now found out the real reason behind. Community is not looking good Adam's part and have huge reservations about that guy due to his dubious and disputed character. Burst will take off once again after we find out our direction clear soon.
Dude it was a pump. Also, it more than doubled in two weeks.

Because someone sent it to you. Probably in an effort to advertise the asset. Sell it, send it someone else, hold it, or buy some more!
