I will build a burst multipool. I have already registered the domain name. However, I am travelling for the day to BC (driving about 10 hours) but from the hotel tonight I will get at least a beta version of it up and running.
I need a couple things from the community though. a) I'd like a commitment to give me at least 72 hours to get the pool up and running. Like I said, I am travelling with work and I don't want to have to be in some stupid competition to get a half-done pool operational before some other lame pool operator. I have a proven track record of producing working pools for other coins. We can set my deadline as being saturday evening PST.
b) I need logos and images and stuff related to burst, as well as an official color scheme (if one exists) - if there are any graphics designers who have done any work with this coin, please pm me with what you have.
You got it. Everyone please send me the funds for this multipool! Unfortunately, I lost all of my personal coins =( But I will still take care of this for the community. Anyone want to sell me 1.5 million at 480? Send me a PM! Before I send, I at least have to ask, how did you lose your personal coins? Yea, I was wondering the same thing, although I sent before I knew this had happened. Hopefully he's still on the up n up. That is strange, since only contacts are saved locally and everything else is on the network/blockchain. He dumped his coin on c-cex!

exactly this is my point. if it is possible to secure something by not offering a huge target platform its safer. encapsulating a java vm by proper protocols is impossible. the only solution is to not allow the vm access to all critical data and do the critical things on a encapsulated secured system without java. this means you can build a block explorer in java but nothing which requires the private key like the ui login. exactly this is why i have completely ignored nxt and i know many people who did the same. if there is no c based wallet within the next couple of month burst wont be able gain market cap.
You are always talking about C/C++ as a safe alternative. You know what can happen if a buffer overflow is exploited? Or even malicious code is run? This is not JAVA running in the browser running malicious code here, this is an application from a trusted source, open source, you can compile it yourself. It has less attack vectors compared to a C wallet with equal code quality. I agree with you we need a C/C++ wallet, but for speed and usability, not safety. i don't know about safety issue, the reason i choose C/C++ is because 1. Java is owned by Oracle 2. Its slow as hell and always slow 3. Its memory hog, i don't know what they do with memory, and heap size

He was on the C-Cex trollbox and said he was up for 30 hours and needed to sleep. I am pretty sure he will be out for awhile.

Would people be interested in a service where you can buy pre-plotted external hard drives with a one-click miner?

Yep, but seems to work nevertheless if we get into huge network traffic, i am planning to run another instance on different location just for mirror alternative

well, I just tried to use http://burst-pool.cryptoport.io/ but it always gives me an error: {"errorCode":5,"errorDescription":"Unknown account"} I tried solomining for the last day with 50GB but I think I found nothing so far ^^ I can't even tell if my wallet (BURST-USY2-4MQV-KUVN-DLHX2) is working

why not cloud mining, just rent couple TB, for any period of time Already providing that (0.045BTC/TB for setup + one month, then 0.0225BTC/TB a month after), but some people would probably prefer to outright own the hardware if they're looking for long-term BURST mining.

That test used 5 minute block time instead of 4, so it's closer to 27GB, however the kernel that test was done on apparently had race conditions, so is not usable. My first opencl implementation runs a little slower than dcct's c plotter when run on a 7970. My 2nd implementation is still being debugged.

Not for the extra power usage.

I'm a little confused about how your pool works. If it gives you some credit for every deadline(although not much for bad deadlines), why wouldn't a user just spam every single nonce they have stored(or even ones they don't), since they'll get some credit for each one? Also, why is your min payout so low? Fast payouts may be nice, but considering the 1 transaction fee, some of your users are losing almost 10% on the fee.
