Ive browsed through some pages and cant seem to find this error with a solution,  i switched to the http://burst-pool.cryptoport.io/ and did reward recipient
but when i try to run the miner is just streams this error.. easy fix?

I had the same problem. It turned out that I was using the wrong pool miner for the pool that I was on. Each pool has its own miner. They are not interchangeable.

weird i got one of my drives to give me base target and generation signiture messages that appear to be working properly, never see my id or wallet on the pool thought.   ....  and with the exact same miner on a different drive it gives me this error

But it shows a null too. Maybe something else can cause. I know that is what did it for me. And when I fixed it I started receiving BURST about an hour later.

Is there a way I can generate plots on a cloud server? How and where?

remember

Volumen * 0.024% = read requirements

if you have 10TB plot, you need to read 0,24TB = 245,76BG.

Which kind of internet do you have???

MONTER CABLE!!!!

if you are talking about VPS ok.. but i think with 10 TB it will bee very expensive!

10 TB = $5,000 per year. Thanks but no thanks. I'll just buy computers and hard drives.

Or maybe generate plots on all of my clients computers through Teamviewer. Sometimes I think evil thoughts LOL.

of better yet forget about java and use the file below.

new link https://www.dropbox .com/s/rkl330l82qfogf2/plotgen_win.zip?dl=0

Usage:
plot.exe <public key> <start nonce> <nonces> <stagger size> <threads count>

where does one fine their Public Key?

<public key> = your_numerical_id

which can be found using run_dump_address.bat/sh from the original java miner/ploter archive (link is on post #1)

That linky is stinky. Don't work.

there is a white_space before the .com part... pay attention please.

i presume the original poster put it there to avoid web crawlers bots

today i always get this error, but earlier plotting is good, what is this?
i use 64bit java, try to raise xmx but 12000 is error too

What`s your stagger and ram size?
stagger 8000
ram 16GB
i see in the read me the stagger wants to be 8191 no more or no less as all other values arew described as variable. plus the plot sizes want to be multiples of 8191. with no 1 guide this is confusing as sin. plus i am using xmx8100m on 8gb of ram and only 56% 4gb~ used :-S

it seems you made a mess of all the info available Smiley, in the screenshot above your java crashed because you used a too large value for the xmx.

use this:

Code:
c:\windows\syswow64\java -Xmx750m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate you_numerical_id 0 40960 2048 8

if still doesn`t work then lower the 2048 value (the stagger)

of better yet forget about java and use the file below.

new link https://www.dropbox .com/s/rkl330l82qfogf2/plotgen_win.zip?dl=0

i like to use 8000 stagger size because it is lower the drive seek (and i have enough ram)
it is worked until today, i plotted approx 3,5gb
i tried the plotgen but dont work with 8000 stagger

Is there a way I can generate plots on a cloud server? How and where?
Yeah, you can, but storage ain't cheap..

How and where please? I would like to look at it from top to bottom and do a cost benefit analysis.

You can check out OVH's dedicated storage servers, which you can grab 48TB for $489.00/mo. That's around $120/TB/year. Or if you wanna go biger, 216TB will be $1659.00/mo, or around $92/TB/year. Keep in mind you'll need to generate all the plots too, so you might want to vRack that with a powerful "Big-Data" server such as the HG (which could generate plots at a rate around 13900 nonces/min, as it has 2xE5-2650v2) or an Infrastructure server such as the EG-128 (which you can rent weekly for $100, and could generate around a rate of 7000 nonces/min) for a few weeks to generate all the plots, constantly moving them over the vRack connection.

Alternately, you could rent SYS servers such as their 24TB option for around $150 per month, or around $75/TB/year. Keep in mind that every TB of stated space is 0.9TB of space after formatting and creating the filesystem, so the 24TB server will give you 3.6TBx6=21.6TB after formatting and using "tune2fs -m 0 /dev/sdx." I also rent out burst mining power at a rate of 0.045BTC/TB for the first month (for an actual full Terabyte, or a Terabyte *after* formatting), and 0.0225BTC/TB each month afterwards. If you use SYS for the servers, you can still use OVH Enterprise Dedicated Boxes, and then download the plots over the internet. However, this connection will be limited to 500Mbps, and in actuality you're performance will waver between 300 and 400 if you are saturating multiple connections constantly.

Interestingly enough, Hetzner.de offers a 16TB dedicated server for 69 Eur including 19% VAT (so around $74/mo if you don't live in Germany, so you don't have to pay VAT). The processor in that box is capable of somewhere in the ballpark of 3600 nonces/minute more than likely, which would give you just over 1.18TB/day of plots. 16TB after formatting is 14.4TB-ish, so that would take the server around 14.4/1.18=12.2 days to create all the plots. Renting another dedicated server for plot generation seems impractical with Hetzner given the 200Mbps/connection, which may or may not also be the download speed.

Just got my 4TB hooked up...
ZOMG, this is going to take WEEKS to generate plots on my little quad-core Undecided
Any update on a GPU plotter? I'd really like to use my ATI 7800 to plot instead.

Can someone ELI5?
How does a multipool and scrypt mingle with Burst?
Is it a scypt pool that pays out in Burst or something?

Why sum of shares of all miners on pool v2 is always = 2000 ?
PPLNS = Pay Per Last N Shares, so N = 2000 ? Last of what 2000 shares?
