I have not pay for electricity, and every end point device is lowpowered. It is like botnet  but fully legal.
Mining other coins with such devices is absolutely useless.
I`ll not leave magi alone until I can get money there, it is true and just accept it.
But I understand devs trouble and do not try just ruin their work, it is why Im not mining until fix done.
If you ever wonder why you earn almost nothing, ask this guy. And he is not alone.

When I try mine in pools I have this message:

[2017-08-25 23:31:25] stratum_subscribe timed out
[2017-08-25 23:31:25] ...retry after 30 seconds

What it means?

m-minerd --url http://your_ip:your_port -u your_user -p x

when I solo mining I have that message: [2017-08-25 23:39:02] No payout address provided, switching to getwork

Where set payout address?

Why I cant mine in pools ?

When you solomine you do not need a payout address.  You are connecting to your wallet.  The error you are getting with the pool mining looks like you are using an incorrect address or trying to mine to a pool that is down.

ok, thanks for info.

i try mine in xmgpool with this params:

m-minerd -a m7mhash -o stratum+tcp://104.207.149.217:3333 -u user.worker -p pass

As I told before - if you want coin for friends, do new coin or delist this one and then mine without huge hashrate..

sorry for offtopic.  wish developers luck with fixing bugs.

You are an idiot. the higher the hashrate, the lower the reward.  I doubt you have that sort of hashrate though.  If you did, there are better ways to make money.

It's not offtopic, it's about a few people ruining earnings for 1000 others because they're douchebags. It's about pool owners allowing higher hash than 250 like they said on their homepage. It's about this coins concept.

I would like an answer from the Magi team, because on their site I found THIS, and I read it before I started mining almost 3 months ago. It was the breaking point to even start mining with my CPUs.
Quote
Magi is at the first concentrating on the low cost in maintaining its block system, for example, through cost effective mining devices. To this end, Magi, aiming at fairness, cost effective and energy efficiency, strives to make mining be available to everyone, and provides an even playing field for people looking to issue digital coins without expensive equipment.
So, is it still valid? If yes, why do you don't deal with people like this person above? If no, then it was a nice ride with you guys and girls, but I'm out, because that's everything but not fairness, cost effective and energy efficiency.

Sorry for jumping in, but I think you may not be getting the point these guys are trying to make.
Magi is a unique coin which reacts to high hashrates: not just it bumps difficulty, but it reduces actual block rewards. This means that if you mine with, say, 1000 kh/s, and all other people together also 1000 kh/s, then you will get 50% of (for example) 10 XMG = 5 XMG. But if you mine with some big 20000 kh/s and other people with a total 1000 kh/s, you will get 95% of... 1 XMG. That's what they mean by "killing the block rewards for everyone, even for you".
These values are just for illustration purposes. The actual rewards computation is more complex that this but I guess you get the picture Wink

What means  stratum_recv_line failed?

It probably means you're not connecting to the pool.
Do you have some kind of firewall on your side that could be blocking your connection to the pool?

A good illustration of this was when zpool was out of control and the block rewards went down to .1 XMG hahaha

Hey akuci, what's the IP you're mining from? There's a 4,815 kh/s "anonymous" miner on minerclaim that seems like that kind of hash rate would belong to an idiot like yourself. I would bet all my earnings on the fact that if your employer found out what you're doing with their electricity, you'd be fired, then forced to pay for the extra electricity you burned. At least, in a perfect world.

Minerclaim: 4,911 kh/s paying 477 xmg per day. Either this guy goes, or I go to another pool or solo, along with my donations.

The network hash rate seems getting high which will reduce block rewards; mining rewards can be checked using following command (using the current block value):
Code:
getminingbykhps 10

IMO, it is as one can look at the total network hashrate here versus elsewhere. We're there that not much hash power is put to run the coin, and one can mine MAGI using devices such as CPU. However, I won't put a 100% random affirmative as the situation you asked, which has been talked, and that's why there comes one of the to-do-list: A scheduled hard fork targeting at improving PoW.

Realistically, though, there always comes the situation where people access to huge resources over the remaining parties. And this is almost the consequence when mining opens to the world. It's not about hard rule to rule out these people, but more or less requires some other solutions. Speaking of fairness, it is very much relative and depends, as we can judge that coins divided among different hands equally as being fair; however, it isn't unfair when one investing twice of efforts gets twice of rewards, despite how he acquires investments free or non-free. How can we judge the situation that one puts tens, thousands of efforts? malafaya's example depicts a scene, that 10 XMG sharing among 2Mh/s, versus 1 XMG dominated by 20Mh/s. Overall speaking of the history of mining in years, I do see a tendency that coins go into more hands than few hands, which is towards fairness by a crypto language.

I recent did a payout from minerclaim, and looks like they are in the right blockchain, my payout arrives with no problems to my private wallet, but the hashrates in minerclaim are still on a descumunal sceene
