Hi guys, ive heard someone said that we will have hardfork this month, is it real? I dont see it in our roadmap this month, but at August 2017, lol. Maybe because of that info, xmg price rise alot . I haven't read anything about it on any of the official places, I don't see why there would be a HF at this point. The only place I have seen anything about a HF is something asking about a possible HF a few day ago. Personally, today's prices looks like a classic pump and dump with the multiple 20k+ XMG buys/sells I have seen go across my screen.

I woke up and it had sold about an hour beforehand. I'd love to know what prompted it and wish I had the coin to have gotten in on more than I did.

I have been trying to stake for a few days now with no luck. I have sent coins back and forth to myself a few times. Yes some of my coins are old but I have sent over 200 back and forth. Please help? Do you have PoS set to active in the conf file? The problem is I can't find the conf file, it's not in the folder it's supposed to be in. Do I need to shut down the miner for it to show up, or turn on hidden files? Thank you. Edit: Nevermind I found it, now have to figure out how to edit it. Thank you. Edit2: I went below the initial text and just typed posii=1, it that how it is done? Thank you. Edit3: Got it fixed. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. good to hear - just a note (and sorry for being late to the party) - if you download the zip file from the site there is a sample conf file from Joe with some optimal settings in there. Thank you! http://coinmagi.org/bin/m-wallet-1.4.4.1/

Great stuff - coingecko ratings are gradually improving The weak points are currently reddit users (which is going in the right direction), and bing web results - we need to get some more external exposure somehow

Dang, some person, brunoferdenez came into the m-hash pool and is running three times the limit, totally killed the payout.
God I wish people would actually READ before mining.

Yea indeed. Would be a lot better if people read a little more before start mining.

Well at least they will get kicked if they continue to do that! I've kept my hashrate relatively low, not sure I've really gone past 200kh.

Maybe someone can answer my question. My fastest rigs difficulty goes up into the 40's, does this increase how much I'll make per solve or just slow me down?

Difficulty is how big of a chunk of the block your miner is working to solve. Lots of small pieces on a fast rig can actually get you more rejected shares. Most pools tend to adjust to your machines hashrate.

SummaryMagi (XMG) is a PoW/PoS hybrid coin (mPoW/mPoS). Magi is designed with difficulty dependent mining reward for proof-of-mining (PoW) blocks in order to put network hashrate under a certain limit. Magi at the first time implements a novel proof-of-staking mechanism, to frustrate potential attack through accumulating a large number of coins and offline staking time (read more..). Magi is at the first concentrating on the low cost in maintaining its block system, for example, through cost effective mining devices. To this end, Magi, aiming at fairness, cost effective and energy efficiency, strives for every single effort to make mining be available to everyone, and provides an even playing field for people looking to issue digital coins without expensive equipment.
mPoW, the magi's proof-of-work (PoW) protocol, in addition to required computational works to be done to deter denial of service attacks, is also a network-dependent rewarding model system. The mPoW rewards participants who solve complicated cryptographical questions not only to validate transactions but also to create new blocks and generate coins. The amout of coins generated are constantly monitored by the mPoW protocol and tuned on the basis of an attraction-repulsion model: 1) incremental rewarding to stimulate network activities during passive mining phase, and 2) decremental rewarding to mitigate redundant mining sources during agressive mining phase. mPoW can effectively govern the magi's network and limit it under a certain scale, enabling the general devices to be capable of mining magi. ++ For details - A network-dependent rewarding system: proof-of-mining
mPoS, the magi's proof-of-stake (PoS) protocol, aims to achieve distributed consensus through operations in addition to mPoW. mPoS is designed such that it rejects potential attacks through accumulating a large amount of coins or offline staking time, either of which leads to security concerns. Similar to mPoW's operation, mPoS is constructed in accordance with the concept of the attraction-repulsion model. Magi hybridizes mPoW with mPoS, and integrate both consensus approaches in order to acquire benefits from the two mechanisms and create a more robust payment system. ++ For details - magi's PoS

The staking has "Not enough weight", what should I do? For the regular PoS, "Not enough weight" means insufficient staking time. For Magi's PoS (mPoS), however, the cause can be correlated with the over-time staking. The latter is a typical issue raised by people from time to time. There is only one way to solve this which can be done via resetting staking from scratch: send XMG to another address in the same or another wallet. You may want to use the "Coin control" feature in order to select the input sources. Do not try to stake with a significant amount of XMG that mitigates the weight as well. Once this is done, remaining the wallet running shall gains some staking weights. Nodes104.128.225.215 216.189.151.56 103.11.64.40
