Anyone knows, why chat in freenode dont work?
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I have to mention that I am really impressed to see MAGI DevTeam works that way. Hard and successfully work. Despite there are not top5 digital currency they do everything to make it happened.

I've watched this thread for a long time, compare with another threads, No bullshits, MAGI looks reliable.

Anyone has same impression?

It's also interresting that Magi DEV are helping NOBL guys to introduce Magi POS for NOBL Smiley

It's my pleasure, and also glad to see some of people liked the PoS-II concept.

I compiled Wolfs version of the miner on Ubuntu 12.04, i5-4460 @ 3.2GHz and my girlfriends MacBook Air i5-mobile something
Running 2 threads for now on my Ubuntu i5:  14.5 kHash/s each thread = 29 kHash/s.
The original version ran at 21 kHash/s, so almost 40% improvement!!
Same %age improvement on the mac.   Hope she wont notice the extra heat - she doesnt know i hacked her machine..
Thanks Wolf for your great work.  Expect some coin coming your way soon. You deserve it for the effort ;-)

Has anybody tried the optimized  avx2 sha256 routine that can be found at
http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/arch/x86/crypto/sha256-avx2-asm.S
??

Fellow miners, get your thens and thans in order and help other forum readers understand what you are writing. Remember the grammar basics:  B larger THAN A (comparator operator). If something THEN ....

That's way MAGI is one of the well-promising coins. I've read that good times before XMG.

I am copying m-talk.org posts:

Coin Magi has a supporter being with us quite a while. This time he will bring Magi into London BITCOIN EXPO 2015, and have it talked there, in particularly focusing on magi effecting on the mining in general, PoS-II, and MagiPay. We must thank him for this great opportunity and many efforts he had put into. The Magi team will make a donation in support of him. Here I call for people in this community can donate whatever amount to him.

BTC: 188AmugttD1jfy2xYNy6muTzVzYha1JEuq
XMG: 95V9eZnrghtEriGUhBwwEuqMbDm1HBJ58u

p.s., will pass to him.

That would be great. Try to help, let BitcoinExpo know about MAGI.

Will DevTeam emphasize a little bit more this precious news???

Thank you all guys! Great to see more new people join the Magi community!
What team means with this news Zywiec is that MAgi will be promoted there.
Meaning that Magi will be subject about future of mining! They will be talk very positive about Magi!!

@joelao95 I like the new theme for the website, but maybe you should restrict access to all pages and redirect them to the counter if you wanted to keep the suspence up Wink

I have a couple of hundred magicoins in my wallet now and have a question regarding the staking of them. I have to make a payment to myself with the amount of coins in my wallet to receive the rewards. Do I have to repeat the payment every time I receive a reward or will the keep coming in on their own?

Regards

I am looking for volunteers with Haswell class AVX2 processors to test and benchmark a new Windows 64 bit minerd.exe for me, since I don't currently have access to one. I need you to tell me a) if it actually works and b) how fast/slow it compares to others that you have already benchmarked on your machine.

Any takers? I will post the link Cheesy

Windows 32 bit users need not feel left out. I have a new one for you already. It will blow your socks off.

Is it based on my code? Also, have you looked at the code yet?

Yes of course it is a compilation of your code Wink

Or rather, it is a pre-compilation using vanilla Cygwin instead of my custom Msys/Mingw64 compiler.

I have not looked at the code myself, since I am no kind of C programmer Sad

<patronize>I'm sure it is very good code.</patronize> Cheesy

No really, it is !@*@*! fast mate. Superb job.

I need your XMG addy to send your bounty.

Thanks for the heads up.

Maintaining a couple of hundred coins in one transaction will give good results, but it's tedious to do this every time you get reward. It's fine if you put all coins (say a couple of hundred, not big amount) in one transaction after undergoing a few times of staking.

They dont work for me sadly, I just get message binding to CPU threads, then nothing happens.

C:\AMD\wolf-m7m-cpuminer-x64-0122-generic>minerd.exe -a m7mhash -o localhost:941
 -u xx -p xxx -t 8 -s 1
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 0 to cpu 0
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 4 to cpu 4
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 6 to cpu 6
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 7 to cpu 7
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 2 to cpu 2
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 3 to cpu 3
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 5 to cpu 5
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] Binding thread 1 to cpu 1
[2015-01-23 13:59:20] 8 miner threads started, using 'm7mhash' algorithm.
Had the same problem (actually still do). If the connection protocol is stratum+tcp, everything works fine, but if the host protocol is http or an IP, I get the same error.

Will get a fix to this.

Liked the initial one "It's a kind of magic. There could be only one"; whilst the one magic posted is tremendous; [his username always makes me recall the early days when the coin was launched, there was a person named "111magic" came to the thread. I was thinking someone kidding me Huh, though I found out finally he had a story about that. that was fun and nice one could recall].

Looks like your wallet just starts staking? any transactions recently? That's the reason showing insufficient weight; notice that the expected time is never accurate.

The actual expected time to earn PoS rewards is about 2-3 days for coins 100 XMG or so under current network weight. It's better to stake all of your coins together; you can do so by sending all to an address. You can close your wallet then and keep it offline; be sure to check back the status for example, 1 day later, the stake weight and expected time to earn rewards (just estimate). You will receive interest for sure.

It's not that much benefiting though by staking 110 XMG though (this is also for security considerations, just imagine other people/network can get interests far more than you), but you don't have to remain the wallet online, just check it from time to time. For better result, storing more coins like 500 XMG will get you rewards in less than half day (in this case better to be online more often to ensure rewards received).

Rules: Don't send coins during staking, or stake time will be reset. Don't keep the wallet offline for more than 5 days in any circumstance, or you need to reset the stake time.

Thank you for the wide explanation! It gives me some ideas on what to do next Wink
I was away for holidays and my wallet was offline until some point this week, when I also updated it to the newest version.
I didn't do transactions with that money foe quite some time, so the "don't send coins" doesn't apply.

Sorry for such late response, but I gusss that it's better to give an update. Finally bought some more XMG and also mined a little, now all the coins are back to wallet and PoS seems to have started good.
