I have a few J1900 CPU/Motherboards http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Celeron+J1900+%40+1.99GHz

They use about 10 watts

Anyone interested in the mining speeds for Magi?

I can do a Linux and Windows test if anyone is interested

Yeah we are interested Wink

Hefty is your man for collecting minerd benchmarks in general, but I am particularly interested in the Linux/Windows comparison so yes, please do and thanks in advance.

Will do, my hunch is its going to get about 12-15 kh total with all four cores active

I will post as soon as I get the real numbers

On the subject of fairness, take a look at these mining pool stats from just a few minutes ago:

Magipool 8435 Kh/s
Maxminers 1357 Kh/s
Noncepool 12628 Kh/s
Suprnova 12703 Kh/s
XMGpool 8544 Kh/s

Biggest pool:
Suprnova 29 percent of total
Smallest pool:
Maxminers 3 percent of total

Total all pools 43667 Kh/s

There is a bit too much imbalance here and Maxminers could do with some more support. If you are able to switch some of your hashpower over to Maxminers (especially if you are currently on an over-subscribed pool) it would be very much appreciated.

Happy hashing Smiley

I'll do that Wink !

The m-face project

...

I want to emphasize the team members and how to participate & rules.

Current MagiTeam members
111magic, SamWalters, ex33s, jawitech, Blackcoiner, xmgmx

New members in extended MagiTeam (m-face)
kondiomir, go6ooo1212, prfagun1, digibob00, BitcoinFX, NeedIfFindIt, Spexx, hefty, Lightsplasher, Historical

How to participate & rules

1. Send / PM us a message and express your intenion to be in the team; the message should include: reason (why you'd like to join), your expertise, and the tasks you wish to contribute to. Example, one can simply contribute to advertising / answering people's questions; or you can simply say that you are unable to do special things but simply likes Coin Magi and want to stay with us and help us. If you are new to Coin Magi, please be focus on the reason why you want to join.

You can also send to email: coinmagicorp@gmail.com; also you can contact any of the members mentioned above.

2. I personally don't like to enforce any tasks to specific person, or push for the results if one is on a project. However, one being in the team must maintain regular activities, for example, social media. We (current magiteam or the m-face team in the future) will maintain regular review on the member, and will put forward people to be removed from the member list, which happens once peope agree (with enough votes).

3. People in the team will get access to a special section hosted for example in m-talk.org, a chat platform and any other member resources. Access is subject to revoking if one gets removal from the member list.

The project is totally triggered by the idea of expanding our team raised by 111magic and our another team member, while I think this is basically beneficial to the coin.

If I get less people interested to the idea, I will let it be and have the coin under my control and partially the current team. I will keep searching for qualified candidates until we get to the level to talk it again.

Hi Joe ! I would like to join the m-face team. I'll send you a PM with the informations above Wink !

I think you're an asset to the team.
And you are very welcome to the team of the Coin of the Magi!
I think Joe agrees with me. Smiley

Hmm check the mining thread there might be some info about that. If not maybe Spexx, Joe or others can give you more info about that.

That is a pretty decent chip and you can expect around 75 Kh/s hashrate with the 64 bit Windows miner. I would be delighted with that Wink

One caveat is that Intel chips get rather hot and you need to make sure that your CPU heatsink and cooling fan(s) are clean and free of dust.

Profitabilty depends very much on XMG block rewards, which are variable. We have a Windows GUI miner called Sweet Spot which allows you to target your mining efforts more towards higher-value XMG blocks, thus avoiding wasted effort chasing dust. I have my own variant of this under test right now and due for release.

Happy hashing and welcome to this Magical community.

I think your cooling is probably adequate Wink

It is certainly possible to get 10 XMG on a good day with something like that, but the average would be a bit less. I had over 30 XMG on one good day with just 40 Kh/s not so long ago, during a period of exceptional block rewards. My current rule of thumb is roughly 1 XMG per day per 10 Kh/s hashrate

you should use "minerd-x64-corei7" and try this: minerd-x64-corei7.exe -a m7mhash -t 8 -o stratum+tcp://xmg.suprnova.cc:7127 -u XXX.user1 -p PW
