There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Joe probably not getting enough sleep this days... Im glad i opted to keep the connect argument on my config file. If the pool im on fall of the chain im gonna shift to solo mining again to support the coin
Yes very good.
Indeed lots of work last days for our dev.
No time for sleeping.

difficulty is set by the coin itself. XMG has a unique POW where when hash rates are high payouts are low. When hash rates are low payouts are high per block. Pools can only set share difficulty. It does not affect payouts only how often you send shares it only affects how much download and upload is sent from you to the pool itself.A pool that sets too high difficulty will affect slower miners but will not affect fast miners. there are pools with lower difficulty for slower miners like mobile devices. I myself picked a pool with very low vardif difficulty.

Very messy situation indeed, dev should fix it quickly!
I don't see any other options but hard fork.

He Muchoman, welcome back here.
Indeed Joe is working very hard. We all know he is a genius and will not give up.
Magi is heading towards the 3th birthday.
Although this is not a easy period we can only learn and become stronger!

True, true. Best way for someone to learn about this stuff is to fix it when it goes down. Not always good times, but gives you something to brag about after it's done. Wink

Coin of the Magi!

It looks a fork taking place that made suprnova firstly turn to a different chain, and then Zpool. This causes much increase in the block value to a higher value but unavailable to majority miners since they are still in suprnova and Zpool. In this case, it will be better to maintain the block value to a lower value until we fix the fork issue or the majority miners are able to mine on the main chain. I will update the source for the above purpose if we all agree.

I mine exactly on those 2 pools, noticed the fork and disconnect from both. Whatever you think is best Joe to overcome this situation. As soon any of  those 2 pools is up I will mine again to support Magi.
Appreciate all your efforts.

Thought Magi has an old Spanish tread here on Bitcointalk or on Bitcoingarden. Thought it was made by Cryptomundo. Will search for it after work.

Ok. Short explanation. More coins better but small coins might be able to stake. Coin grows in weight as it ages without staking before it hit max weight then losses weight. I was able to stake with 50 coins.
