Tell me, how much of your currency can be mined on the CPU core i7 - 4770k? Whether to pay off the cost of electricity or better not to start with such small capacity equipment?
There are numbers somewhere for 4770k, im not sure but iirc it's something around 100kh/s at 100% efficiency setting. Ideally you wouldnt mine at that though, that goes against what XMG is about. Reward changes every block based on network hashrate, so it is hard to estimate rewards. When mining is back up there are commands built into the console in the wallet you can use to estimate rewards based on current difficulty and rewards for the current block though.

Rough guess...
Get the cpu Benchmark for your CPU (From here : https://www.cpubenchmark.net/ )and divide it by 94.
That will give you a rough estimate of the khash/s you'll get from the CPU.

And the other half of your question depends on how much you pay for electricity in kw/h and the usage of your machine in kw/h...

So... "length of string" territory here....

Is this coin fully mined ? If no how much will take until is totally mined? And with which CPU is worth to mine it now in 2017?

Hi there, Magi will take a number of years to be mined out - I find it best to just run on some idle PC's. The block reward changes based on total hash rate - so if somebody pushes out a massive hash rate then the reward drops for everybody - call it eco-friendly, whale-proof mining.

Currently somebody tried to exploit the mining algorithm and there is a fix underway - any blocks mined until the fix will probably be orphaned, so best to wait around for a few days until the fix is in place

No there are more pools. But Magi has improvements and developments in progress & hardfork will come.

Check the following link (from ex33s) for the full list of pools - if suprnova goes off some others will take up the hash rate

Hi,

I'm newbie for mining Magi. I'm trying solo-mining. My client finds blocks but always they are rejected. I look through debug log file and I see "ERROR: AcceptBlock() : proof-of-work block violation (prior PoS not seen or wait 10 mins)" message always. It passed 30-min. What should I do? Or Should I do nothing and just wait? Smiley In previous messages in this thread, some problems were mentioned. However, I couldn't cover the issues throughly Smiley

Thanks a lot.
There are some problems with the chain right now - dev is testing a fix - best to wait until its released (probably a few days) - finding blocks on a solo rig is a usually pretty rare event (when the chain is back in full swing) unless you have quite a bit of hash power

Normally bittrex needed 6 confirmations, taking around a few minutes.
Now bittrex asks 30 confirmations, with one confirmation almost every 10 minutes,
taking around 5 hours to deposit to bittrex.

Might be due the huge amount of new customers they received passed weeks or maybe because of coming improvements.

Can the admin of this website add www.xpoolx.com/magindex.php to the list of the pools? We are finding some blocks in these strange days.

No, you can still mine it and wasn't fully mined.

Isn't the current thinking that all those blocks you are finding is going to be orphaned at the HF? Why keep mining?

Hello,

I installed a miner & magi wallet on my Pi. Both are running ok. I register in a pool, https://xmg.minerclaim.net/index.php and launched : ./minerd -a m7mhash -o xmg.minerclaim.net:3333 -u acvxxxxx.df5xxxxxx -p 4axxxxxxxx
and I have no error message.

However when I look at my dashboard at https://xmg.minerclaim.net nothing is changing, my hashrate is at 0.00 KH/s . How can I check my set up is working ? Do I have to wait a long time before the graphs show something ?

Thanks,

hola, eso es porque la moneda ha estado en un proceso de hard-fork. Pronto se restaurará la minería, saludos.

The pools are currently down pending a hard fork that should be here in soon.
