crazy 24 hours of mining with no returns in xmg.
Same, I stopped. I can't see any reason to. Unless someone other than our favorite hacker can give a reason to. I admittedly don't have his knowledge but I can't see how all the orphans can benefit.

Can't say I'm surprised anymore. I'm come to terms that I'm wasting electricity at this point, so that's why I fired my miners back up, but for anyone who's trying to earn a profit on this... well, you're wasting your time. You'd be better off mining Monero or somethin'.

Give him time. He'll try to use the same excuse he always does. "You make more XMG after my orphaned blocks!" Yeah, right after you steal the money from right under our noses. Can't wait for Karma to get to him.

Another question: I have noticed that when he is not attacking, there is a large % of PoS blocks. Is this normal? At the moment, 459 out of the last 500 are PoS.

On an other note:[/b] If you really made so muccccccchhhhhh money, you could donate some to the Dev's when they fix the bug. (5 - 10%) Or maybe donate to everyone here who has had to put up with his nonsense. 50 XMG per person sounds like a good way to re-stimulate this dying coin. I second this.

Hey, if any Dev's read this, I'd be interested in helping fix the code base. I have experience with C and C++, and like solving logical/mathematical problems. If you are already working on the fix, I'd be interested in adding my efforts to the codebase, instead of trying to track down and fix the bug myself, which I am strongly tempted to do.

I will give 100 XMG to such Hercule Poirot who will find out my exchange address account in next 24h. Time starting from timestamp of this post only for first true answer.

Noob Here.
I read the tutorial for minting / staking xmg.
Currently I can minting however I don't understands the results.
I'm getting some small transactions that are labeled as generated, I guess that I'm generating small amounts of XMG. However when I go into details, all of them say "Unconfirmed (0 of 6 confirmations)" , "Generated but not accepted".
Some of them got generated 5 days ago. This behavior is normal or I'm doing something wrong?

if they are saying that you have gotten nothing. basically unless its confirmed you dont have it. I been getting stakings and they turn out to be duds (no money)

No You are doing everything right, at the moment there are some attack, which orphans of blocks found that are not from the attacker. Sorry man, until the bug isn't fixed, you would do better mining for a pool. (here the chance recieving XMG is higher). (btw.: One of the bigger pool 2MHs and Up)

For Proof of Stake minting? I don't see why not, especially if your current setup is powerful enough to get a decent hashrate. I would highly recommend mining in a pool like Minerclaim until the vulnerability that our resident thief uses is eventually patched. Even if you're not mining, I'd still recommend keeping the Wallet running to keep it's local blockchain (ie, the copy of the Magi blockchain that your wallet uses to confirm transactions and keep it's interface data up to date) synced with the global blockchain.

I found this pretty interesting... From https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001455187: These markets are flagged for potential removal on 01/27/17 due to lack of interest. If you would like to see these markets stay on Bittrex, please show us there is still community interest in the tokens through trading. If you are the developer, please contact us and let us know if there is ongoing development of your token.
BTC-XMG
Wonder if they're renew that "potential removal" flag then remove the market after hearing about Joe completely disappearing and Vitalik inflating the Magicoin economy with what are essentially counterfeit coins. Edit: Is something up with minerclaim? When blocks get orphaned, they usually get thousands of % of shares rather than the normal 150-350% of shares. However, these last couple of blocks have been listed as "0 shares" and "0% of expected shares". Is this a direct result of the vulnerability? Okay, this is going to sound like a noob question, but what things can cause an orphaned block? If my memory serves me well, I remember there was a hack back in January where a miner was mining blocks in the future, which caused orphaned blocks. However, that doesn't seem to be the problem in this vulnerability. What I'm thinking is that pools and solo-miners are getting the wrong information somehow, so when they go to submit the "solution" to the blockchain, all the nodes are declining the block, resulting in orphans. However, when going through the blocks that Minerclaim "found", they seem to have been finding blocks of back-to-back orphans. This is the same deal with Trasmamod, but the difficulty of the block submitted by Minerclaim was not the same. For example, block #1796062. Minerclaim: Block Status Finder Date Difficulty Reward Expected Shares Actual Shares Percent 1796062 Orphan mejaime 04/30/2018 03:48:27 0.1098 1.78 7,196 4,662 64.79 Trasmamod: Block Status Finder Date Difficulty Reward Expected Shares Actual Shares Percent 1796062 Orphan wing7 04/30/2018 03:40:02 0.4066 1.61 26,648 165,958 622.78 If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say that the pools and solo-miners are getting blasted with incorrect information, causing them to provide incorrect block solutions and allowing a path for Vitalik's botnet to submit the correct one. However, my explanation does not explain how he can get anywhere between 15 to 45 XMG for each block. And yes. At one point, 9LvDoEhev9aVgskEQNrqgnXTQVb6rnaP1m was one of you're main wallets. However, I see that you've divided all your money into many wallets to fly under the radar. Who are you trying to kid?
